Marker Bills need to dethrone Alexander [5:03 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'The Bills are catching Alexander the Great on a serious chariot ride. He's gained 627 yards in the past four games, including a three-week stretch against the Panthers, 49ers and Rams when he gained 195, 160 and 176 yards. Only seven previous running backs in NFL history had consecutive 150-yard games, including Jim Brown (1958), O.J. Simpson (1976) and Earl Campbell (1980). With 96 yards against Miami Sunday, Alexander gave Campbell's record of four 150-yard games in a row a good shot.'

Marker A moment with ... Lawyer Milloy, Bills safety [5:02 AM]
Seattle Post Intelligencer reports: 'What are the secrets to the Bills' success on defense this season?
"We had the same success last year and we're just building off of that. Even though we had a coaching change, we didn't change our defensive staff. (Defensive coordinator Jerry) Gray is very good at putting his playmakers in the right position to make plays. Like I said, we are doing nothing short of what we did last year."'

ESPN Page 2 reports: At 360, Mike Williams anchors the AFC's heaviest offense, while Reuben Droughns runs behind the AFC's lightest unit.

Marker Bills come together to help one of their own [6:53 PM]
WGRZ-TV reports: 'Last month, one of the team's chefs, Bob Mueller, died suddenly of a heart infection. He was just 43 years old. He left behind his wife Sheryl and their three young daughters.'

Marker Buffalo (4-6) at Seattle (6-4) [6:44 PM]
The Sports Network reports: 'Seahawks 17, Bills 10.'

Marker Seahawks ST Unit will be a Challenge [6:43 PM] reports: 'Rookie Jason Peters made two big plays on kickoff coverage in the Rams game, first making a tackle for a very minimal gain and then recovering a fumble in the third quarter. On the fumble recovery he actually came out of the pile with the ball while the referees were still looking to see which team had the ball. We view him as a big and powerful guy that is only going to get better. Even in the infancy as a player, he's doing pretty well.'

Marker Portland Backers to Attend Bills-Seahawks [6:41 PM] reports: '"It started over my license plate," Miller said. "Then we had six people, and we went anywhere we could go to watch the games … then it just kind of grew from there."'

Marker Tops Game Ball Winner: Mark Campbell [6:40 PM] reports: 'I definitely agree we need to get the ball rolling on road games. It comes down to starting fast. We need to start faster on the road and make plays. You can't look around to see who is going to make a play, but instead you must look at yourself to make the play. Playing on the road is tough. Aside from not being able to hear and communicate, it's a you against the world mentality. We have to go in and change what's happening on the road. There is no curse. It's not like the Boston Red Sox curse, we just need to go out and play. We have won on the road before and we're too good of a team to not do it on a consistent basis.

Marker Hawkish predictions a little off in Seattle [10:55 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Seahawks come into Sunday's matchup at Qwest Field against the Buffalo Bills (4-6) with a 6-4 record, not exactly reeling but not exactly shoo-ins to visit the White House, either.'

Marker Handful of players returning to familiar surroundings [10:53 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Milloy and Bledsoe haven't played at home since their college days.'

Marker Finances dictated decision to let Winfield jump to Vikings [10:51 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Winfield is outstanding. However, teams must be very careful about how many players they're willing to pay at the top of the pay scale at their respective positions. This, coupled with the fact the Bills had young talent at cornerback in the pipeline, made the decision to let Winfield go the prudent move. Winfield's deal moved him up to roughly seventh among all cornerbacks, behind Champ Bailey, Ty Law, Charles Woodson, Chris McAlister, Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain.'

Marker Bills' Peters makes his impact [5:01 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"If I was on the return team I would not want to block him," Stamer said of Peters, a 6-foot-4, 328-pounder who can run as fast as the 242-pound Stamer. "He's just a huge man. He's coming down with speed, playing with an aggressive attitude. That's something you can't teach."'

Marker Bledsoe comes home [4:57 AM]
Seattle Times reports: 'Bledsoe's completion percentage (56.1), quarterback rating (74.0), interception total (11) and record (4-6) serve as primers for the criticism. "It's been a tough couple years on Drew and on the family," Adam Bledsoe said. "Mainly, it's tough because he's received a lot of blame for things that are out of his control. Some of that comes with the position. The last two seasons, for some reason, there's a lot of blame on him when they lose and no recognition when they win. Even when he's playing well, people are screaming for his head."'

Marker Bills much improved since S Milloy's return [4:37 PM]
AP reports: 'The Bills (4-6) have been much improved with Milloy back, winning three of their last five heading into Sunday's game at Seattle. ''I don't think that's purely coincidence,'' quarterback Drew Bledsoe said. ''He's one of those special players that can actually elevate the guys around him. He brings such great intensity and such great accountability to the defense that I think definitely helps.'''

Marker Bills CB Vincent hopeful he'll return soon [4:36 PM]
AP reports: 'Vincent, who's missed seven games with a right knee injury, ran on his own before practice on Thursday and said his knee felt better than it has in some time. The trouble is, he felt this good two weeks ago before suffering a setback.'

Marker Bills' Milloy, Bledsoe get to come home [1:24 PM]

Marker Shaun has been Alexander The Great [1:23 PM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Alexander leads the NFL in rushing with 1,151 yards. He's tied for second in the NFL in total touchdowns with 13, and he has the best per-carry average of the league's leading backs at 5.1 yards an attempt.'

Marker Bledsoe to receive Man of Year award [1:22 PM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Bledsoe will receive his award during the Monday Quarterback Club luncheon in the Harbour Club in HSBC Arena at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The award, which began in 1970 and was renamed in honor of the Hall of Famer in 1999, honors players who demonstrate outstanding balance in their lives between civic and professional responsibilities.'

Marker Marv on Marv [1:22 PM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Levy, as all Bills fans know, was not your typical football coach. So it's no surprise this is not your typical football book.'

Marker For Bledsoe, there’s no time like the past [6:29 AM]
Tacoma News Tribune reports: 'The Bills have struggled on the road this season. “It’ll be nice to get back out there,” said Bledsoe, who has done some offseason wine tasting in the state the past couple of years, “but I also know that it will be a hostile environment.”'

Marker April drives Bills 'Special Forces' [5:03 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"That guy is crazy. He was excited," Clements said. "I saw him putting stuff on the board, and he said I was going to get one. I told him, 'OK, I'm going to hit it up there hard.' And I did."'

Marker Fans get free sideline pass [5:02 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"When you're in the stands or watching on TV, you don't get a full feel for what the impact on a kickoff is like. As long as we keep the fans in a place where they're safe and they don't get run over by somebody, and as long as they're not throwing stuff at us, it could be an interesting experience for some people."'

Marker One fateful play [5:01 AM]
Seattle Post Intelligencer reports: 'It was Sept. 20, 1992, and the New England Patriots were driving for a possible game-winning touchdown.'

Marker Big Poppa knows his business [5:00 AM]
Seattle Times reports: 'Adams is even scheduling interviews to discuss his Everett team during his trip with the Bills to play the Seahawks on Sunday. "He's pretty hands-on," said Lisa Balmes, a longtime friend whom Adams hired as the Hawks' vice president of operations and business development. "He likes to know all of the daily details. He's more hands-on than what your normal owner would be. Hopefully, he'll relax about that."'
