Marker One Lawson (Manny) set to replace another (Shaq) on defense [7:57 PM]
Buffalo News reports: '“Guys, he can play right now. If we never had the surgery, he could play right now. But what we’re trying to get is Shaq Lawson at 100 percent,” Ryan said. “That’s why we decided to have the surgery when we did. We could have waited during the season and then at some point if he had to go with the surgery, he would have been lost for the rest of the year. This way, we get him and we know at some point we’re going to have him – and not just have him out there playing, but at 100 percent.”'

Marker The Buffalo Bills don't want you to know if someone drops a pass in practice [7:56 PM]

Marker Ryan says Watkins will be ready [7:53 PM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I get it," Ryan said. "It looks like it hit people across the face that, hey, here's an injury to Sammy Watkins. But we knew about it. He's not going to miss any time. By the time the regular season comes around, Sammy Watkins is not going to miss any time. Now, do we have a timetable on when he comes back specifically? No, we're not going to give you that. But I'll tell you this, he'll be ready to go in the regular season."'

Marker Ryan puts in a good word for lines of communication [7:52 PM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Ryan will never be convinced his defense is flawed. And without any prompting, he made it clear that Bills defenders were already dialed in mentally. “I think we are a zillion miles ahead of where we were last year … especially in the communication part on defense,” he said.'

Marker Bills at DB: Seymour could be a true sleeper [7:52 PM]

Marker Rex Ryan says Buffalo Bills support Marquise Goodwin's Olympic dream [7:49 PM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: '"Well my understanding is he has the number one jump in the world I think at this point," Ryan said Tuesday. "So that is one way to represent Buffalo, our community and our football team. But you know what this is a once in a lifetime shot for a young man to get an opportunity to represent our country in the Olympics, I am certainly not going to take that opportunity away from him. When he comes back with us we know that he is training specifically for the long jump and things and that is fine. But we will be excited to get him back here and on this thing and work on his football skills. I think for the young man yeah we are paying the bill and all that we get it, but you know what this is a great opportunity for him to represent our country and we are excited to see him go."'

Either way, the Bills became one of the biggest stories in the NFL Tuesday, drawing criticism from every corner of the NFL world.'

Marker Bills GM Doug Whaley says humans aren't supposed to play football [7:47 PM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: '"It's the game of football. Injuries are part of it," Whaley said. "It's a violent game that I personally don't think humans are supposed to play.'

Marker Why did Buffalo Bills get brought up in article about possible NFL team in Vegas? [7:46 PM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'With everything that's happened in the last two years, you would think the Bills (and the Jaguars for that matter) could avoid mention in stories like this. Buffalo doesn't have a stadium riddle. The only riddle is that the league wants the Bills to build a new stadium while the Bills are in no rush after completing a $130 million renovation project.'

Marker Steve and Luke Tasker help to tackle Alzheimer’s [7:44 PM]
Toronto Sun reports: '“I got involved because of my mother-in-law’s condition,” Tasker said. “We started noticing symptoms. WKBW-TV reports: 'Rex or not -- wherever it came from, it did not go over well on what should have been a day focused on the team on the field, and what they need to do to finally end the playoff drought. Instead, the strict new media policy is the talk of the league, fair or not.'

Marker Bills OTA notes [7:33 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '“It’s good to have the guys out there competing against the defense,” said Taylor. “The defense is giving us a bunch of different looks, but the main thing is that we are going out there and competing. Let’s not have an incident which may come up five months from now or five days,’” said Whaley. “So the unpredictability of when it could happen again we decided to remove all doubt. We said, ‘Let’s get the shoulder surgery done now and that’s pre-emptive and then we remove all doubt as to when this could flare up again either during the season or two years from now.'”'
