Marker Detriot still shows interest in Brown [7:52 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: NOTE: Continuation from same page as previous submission It seems the Lions are tying to make their fans 'forget' Barry Sanders. First they give up with the backup RBs and get James Stewart from Jacksonville and now are still looking at Ruben Brown even though they are having cap problems. Ruben is still out of the price range by a million a year or so though. CBS calls him the 'best drive-blocking guard in the league' although they neglect to mention that he is one of the most penalized as well. The Lions used to get their yards in burts - Barry would get yards but sometimes lose yards as well. Now they can divide the duties - Stewart can get the yards and Brown can take them away!

Marker Bills 'Going south on Northern' [7:51 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: Look about half way doen the page - 'Going south on Northern'. If any of this comes true the Bills have learned their lesson with Reed and may start to play hard ball with underachievers. Interesting observations by CBS; in their opinion the Bills would not attempt to re-sign linebacker Gabe Northern even if they did not have cap problems (they see Keith Newman as his replacement) and may cut Teddie in June when Washington might have a tough time finding a market for his services and would be forced to re-sign with the Bills.
