Marker Bills Injury Report - Week 7 [10:04 AM] reports: Starting offensive tackle Mike Williams, the fourth player selected in last April's NFL Draft, is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury for Sunday's game at Miami and backup running back Shawn Bryson is ruled out with a knee injury. Williams was hurt in the first quarter of Buffalo's 31-24 win at Houston on Sunday.

Marker Players are first to admit second effort not enough [9:07 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"It's obvious we didn't play a real good game, especially in the first half against the Texans, but we stepped it up in the second half and we're going to have to build on that against the Dolphins."'

Marker Sports stars aid United Way drive [9:07 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Buffalo Bills quarterback Drew Bledsoe and Buffalo Sabres captain Stu Barnes will be special guests tonight as West Valley Nuclear Services Co. hosts a gathering of area business leaders at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The goal is to get more businesses involved in United Way fund-raising through direct corporate gifts and employee payroll deductions.'

Marker Dolphins find relief [5:24 AM]
Miami Herald reports: '''They are going to get a guy who has been in the fire before, who has been a starting quarterback in this league, who is not afraid, who knows what to do,'' the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' star receiver said Tuesday of his former teammate, who went 6-3 with the New York Jets in 1999."

Marker Gadsden, Chambers are doubtful for Sunday [5:23 AM]
Miami Herald reports: 'A source said Tuesday that receiver Oronde Gadsden, who sprained his right wrist in Sunday's win at Denver, is ''very doubtful'' to play. Gadsden flew to Dallas on Tuesday, and will be there today to have a second opinion on his swollen wrist, and to see if he can play with the injury for the remainder of the season. He is not expected to practice this week.'

Marker Bledsoe is throwing himself back into the fray [5:22 AM]
Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reports: 'The Bills bring only a 3-3 record against the Dolphins on Sunday. Their defense is horrible and their kickoff coverage was gouged for 96- and 98-yard touchdown returns against the Jets. Yet that only makes Bledsoe's performance this year more remarkable.'

Marker Kennedy must sit 1 game for Chambers hit [5:21 AM]
Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reports: 'It's still not known whether Chambers will play Sunday against Buffalo.'

Marker Former CFL QB Dickenson signed [5:20 AM]
Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reports: 'Dickenson was signed as third quarterback because Jay Fiedler is out with a broken thumb, Ray Lucas has been elevated to starter and Sage Rosenfels is the backup.'

Marker Miami's Taylor in a rush for hurries, not just sacks [5:15 AM]
Palm Beach Post reports: 'In wins against New England and Denver, Taylor has 12 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles.'

Marker Dolphins hire third-string QB [5:14 AM]
Palm Beach Post reports: 'Dave Dickenson, who spent a year in Norv Turner's offense in San Diego, was named the Dolphins' third-string quarterback while Jay Fiedler recuperates from right thumb surgery.'

Marker Mare's kicking magic gives Dolphins an edge [5:13 AM]
Florida Today reports: 'Mr. Automatic has been human, missing 4 of his 13 attempts this season, including a 48-yarder in the first half of Sunday's game against Denver. But with the game on the line, Dolphins players said there is no one they would rather have kicking for them.'

Marker Last-minute victory could signal turning point for Dolphins [5:12 AM]
Florida Today reports: 'But this year is different. "We're finally getting some breaks this year," Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas said. "We've never had many breaks in the past."'

Marker No question about it: Brady, not Bledsoe, answer for Pats [5:11 AM]
Boston Herald reports: 'Bledsoe has two wideouts, Peerless Price and Eric Moulds, who have combined for 88 catches already and who are better than anything Brady has had to throw to since Troy Brown was injured in Week 3. Bledsoe has a better tight end, better pass-catching backs (including Larry Centers, the most prolific pass-catching back ever) and a much better lead running back in Travis Henry.'

Buffalo News reports: 'What a difference a year makes.'

Marker It's wait and see with Williams injury [9:08 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"We going to wait and see if it settles down the next couple of days," said Bills coach Gregg Williams. "We have a few more things we want to take a look at (today), but we'll know more on Wednesday."'

Marker A deal of a lifetime for Bills [9:08 AM]
Fort Worth Star Telegram reports: 'For the Buffalo Bills, the best thing about this year is it isn't last year.'

Marker Defense showed signs of urgency [5:41 AM]
D and C reports: '“It’s a young defense, a new bunch of guys together,” Ahanotu said. “I’ve been on some really good defenses and the missing element here is the sense of urgency on every play.”'

Marker Do the Bills have a chance to upset the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday? [5:40 AM]

Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reports: 'Fiedler is 26-11 as a starter since replacing Dan Marino and has missed just one start. No other quarterback has won more games since the start of the 2000 season.'

Marker Ray? Jay? They're fine either way [5:35 AM]
Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reports: 'You see, while the Bills' offense has been rejuvenated under Drew Bledsoe, the defense is horrible. They're allowing 36 points a game, and their scraping bottom in the NFL in run defense by allowing 130 yards a week. In other words, it wouldn't matter who is running the offense Sunday. Fiedler, Lucas, Woodley, Jensen. ... The Dolphins' best shot at winning is to keep Ricky on the field and Bledsoe on the sidelines.'
