Marker Former GW standout arrested [4:42 AM]
Danville Register and Bee reports: 'Robertson has been plagued with troubles the past few years. He is a former defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills. In 2002, the NFL suspended him for the second time for violating its substance abuse policy - he tested positive for cocaine earlier that same year and received a four-game suspension.'

Marker Home vs Road [4:41 AM]
WIVB-TV reports: 'I'm no Tony Robbins but here's the advice I would give. Don’t tell the media and the fans this week, that there’s no difference playing on the road. We ask the questions, and the players refuse to acknowledge the issue. Now, I’m no psychiatrist, but I will say you have to admit there’s a problem before you can solve it. This week, admit that you stink on the road, and maybe you can figure out a way to change it. By the way I dropped my only psych. class in college, so what do I know… I think I’ll go listen to my Tony Robbins tapes.'

Marker Inside slant [4:40 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: 'What's shocking is how Campbell became such a focal point for quarterback Drew Bledsoe after he failed to catch a single pass in three consecutive games. In a 29-6 loss at New England in which Bledsoe completed just eight passes and had a career-low 14.3 rating, he didn't dump one ball off to his big safety valve.'

Marker Strategy and personnel [4:39 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: 'A true test of a staff is its ability to regroup its men after a bad loss. After its 29-6 debacle in New England, rookie Mike Mularkey and Co. came back in a big way against the high-flying Rams, taking advantage of the fact St. Louis cares about offense but wants nothing to do with defense or special teams. On offense, the Bills attacked with the tight end. On defense, they blitzed and created turnovers. On special teams, they worked the exact returns that were drawn up on the chalkboard. Imagine if the Bills didn't slow themselves down with 15 penalties.'

Marker Notes, quotes [4:38 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: 'The Bills' 54-yard flea-flicker involving RB Willis McGahee, QB Drew Blesoe and WR Sam Aiken was not a thing of beauty, but it worked, setting up a field goal that tied the game at halftime. McGahee was nearly tackled for a loss but at the last second, pitched the ball high back to Bledsoe, who calmly got control and just barely got off his heave to a wide-open Aiken on a post route. "I thought maybe he (McGahee) was going to keep it, I really did," Bledsoe said. "He got up there and then at the last second, turned around and chucked it back. By the time I looked up, Sam Aiken was in another county."'

Marker Mularkey shrugs off Martz's complaints of Bills cheap shots [9:35 PM]
AP reports: '``Based on what I saw, I don't understand the comments that came from him,'' Mularkey told reporters Monday. ``I'll leave it at that. I don't see what he saw.'''

Marker Donahoe comfortable with security presence at Bills home games [9:34 PM]
AP reports: '''Certainly, any time we have an incident with a fan, we will make sure that we do whatever we can do to address that.'''

Marker Mularkey Says His Team Plays Hard [9:33 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Martz says he felt Nate Clements and Ross Tucker were trying to cut block and injure his players. Mularkey really didn't want to talk about it other to say his team is just play tough football.'

Marker Ask Him Yourself: Mike Mularkey [5:39 PM] reports: 'Why is it that Drew Bledsoe seems to have the most trouble on the road? His record and his rating are terrible when he's on the road. I understand he's not on the field by himself, but he looks like a totally different QB. MM: Based on what has taken place this year, Drew hasn't had as good of games on the road. We're working on that and he's working on that. We're only halfway through the road schedule and he has a chance to make a difference in the road games to come.'

Marker Ask Him Yourself: Tom Donahoe [5:37 PM] reports: 'Specifically, how much say do you have in who dresses for games, starts, plays, substitutions, play calling, and other game day decisions? In addition, who else has an input and who has the final say in each of those areas on game day?
TD: The final say on these types of personnel decisions rest with Coach Mike Mularkey, along with the input from his staff. Coach Mularkey and I talk everyday about the players and the decisions made with regard to our personnel. Mike will often ask me my opinion on game day personnel decisions, but he has the final say with regard to who starts, plays and how the personnel is used.'

Marker Help - Role Models Needed [4:21 PM]
WGRZ-TV reports: 'Maybe Bills coach Mike Mularkey is smarter than any of us, by inserting the eager but not-yet-ready J.P. Losman into the fray at Foxboro in the final minutes. Losman was given a little piece of humble pie, while getting a slice of experience that could be beneficial later.'

Marker Bills are right at home [3:36 PM]
Olean Times Herald reports: 'At 4-6, the Bills — 0-4 on the road — can forget the playoffs with seven AFC teams at least three games ahead of them at 7-3-or-better with six to play. But they’ve won their last four home games — outscoring the opposition 117-61 in the process — two of those victories against teams with winning records. And the last three wins have been an encouraging blend of quality efforts by the offense, defense and special teams.'

Marker Campbell sensed a big day ahead [3:35 PM]
Olean Times Herald reports: '“Mark’s a guy you’re really got to take your hat off to. It’s not like he was a high draft pick (undrafted free agent with Browns). He’s really had to work his way into the situation where he is now ... a starter and a very viable weapon for us. As far as being under-utilized, there’s some merit to that. When you can get the tight end involved, those are easier, shorter throws for the quarterback to get your rhythm.”'

Marker Bills fans remain loyal [3:34 PM]
Tonawanda News reports: '“I don’t care what their record is. They’re still my favorite team.”'

Marker Buffalo's special teams reduce Rams to tears [3:33 PM]
Niagara Falls Reporter reports: '"They just have good people," Martz said. "Maybe that's the secret." Maybe, Mike. Or maybe you're a pompous windbag who, despite your delusions of genius, was handed a franchise on the brink of dynasty and guided it into the septic tank of mediocrity, making some of the dumbest decisions in recent league history along the way.'

Marker Game Notes: Bills vs. Rams [3:01 PM] reports: 'Willis McGahee: Registered game highs with 20 attempts for 100 yards…has gained 100+ rushing yards in four of five NFL starts and is the only first-year Bill with four 100-yard rushing performances in a season, breaking the record of three held by Joe Cribbs and Greg Bell.'

Marker Ex-NFL player arrested in Danville, Va. [1:17 PM]
Greensboro News Record reports: 'Officers arrested Julius Tyrone Robertson, 25, of Danville, Va., and charged him with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while possessing drugs. Robertson played for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League.'

Marker Bledsoe Named Man of the Year [10:23 AM] reports: 'This prestigious award began in 1970 and honors players who demonstrate outstanding balance in their lives between civic and professional responsibilities. In 1999, the NFL renamed the award after the late Walter Payton as a tribute to his greatness both on and off the field.'

Marker Bills even score with April, Fletcher's former team [9:40 AM]
Wellsville Daily Reporter reports: 'But more importantly, he didn't pass up a conversation earlier in the week with former Buffalo Bill Jim Kelly, a Hall of Famer. ''We just talked a little bit of how you handle things and how you deal with things when you're faced with some adversity ... It was good conversation,'' Bledsoe said. ''It's nice to know you're not the only one who's been through hard times. ... It's nice to know that you have that support.'''

Marker Plenty more class on the Buffalo sideline [9:39 AM]
Wellsville Daily Reporter reports: 'When his press conference was over, he walked from the press conference area to the locker room, but not before telling Buffalo defensive coordinator Jerry Gray in the hallway that the Bills illegally cut blocked. When Gray told him he didn't realize it, Martz told him twice to check the tape. "We lost three players. The way two of them were lost was a little upsetting, they were cut blocks," said Martz. "One was on an interception return."'

Marker An M'm M'm good! day [8:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"If there is a better special-teams unit in the league right now, I don't know who it is," said Bills quarterback Drew Bledsoe.'

Marker Defense delights with big plays [8:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Bills limited the Rams to 270 yards, 110 below their season average. Rams running back Marshall Faulk, one of the league's most dangerous all-purpose threats, was rendered a non-factor. His 6 yards tied the lowest rushing total of his career and his 0.5-yard average on 13 carries was his worst single-game effort.'

Marker Smith's play takes a page right out of cartoon history [8:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"As soon as I got back I didn't hear too many congratulations," Smith said. "It was like, "Man, you got caught at the 5.' I was like, "Aw, man, I didn't know. I didn't think anybody else was there.' I was getting out of gas too. I'm not going to lie. But I thought I was going to score."'

Marker An afternoon to remember, but road calls [8:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'So while Sunday was a day to remember, I'll hesitate to attach any great significance to it. The Bills are not a bad team, as they appeared to be in the first month of the season. But until they can win on the road, they're counterfeit Bills, the biggest frontrunners in the NFL. Really, how can the team that put on that display be winless on the road at Thanksgiving?'

Marker Complaint file bulging for Martz [8:56 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"Absolutely they're doing it intentionally," Martz said. "They're trying to blow somebody's knee out. There's no question about it. . . . That stuff comes around eventually."'

Marker Campbell in the zone—three times [8:55 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I didn't get a ball in three weeks, and that's frustrating," said Campbell, who has 14 catches for 172 yards and a team-high five touchdowns for the season. "But winning cures all that. When you're winning, it's easy to deal with. If you're losing, you feel like you've got to be able to do something to help. I feel like I'm the kind of guy who can do both block and catch. While I feel like I've blocked well the last three weeks, I haven't been able to make plays. What happened today confirms to me that when you get the opportunities you have capitalize on them."'

Marker Hits keep on coming [8:54 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Bills and Miami remain the only teams in the league that are winless on the road.'

Marker Grading the Bills [8:53 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Bills return game is amazing. Clements & Smith are two-headed monster on punts. Hooray for Bobby April.'

Marker A Different Team At Home [6:53 AM]
Erie Times News reports: 'I laughed, I cried, I wet my pants.'
