Marker A-Train makes a stop at The Ralph [8:52 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'He's a two-time 1,000-yard rusher who lost his job to a younger, higher-regarded player and is looking for a fresh start with a new team. We're not talking about Travis Henry. It's Anthony Thomas, who paid the Buffalo Bills a visit Thursday.'

Marker Bills love Everett's talent [5:17 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"With Kevin, we've seen flashes of things he's capable of doing," Mularkey said. "I'm going to work with him, and (assistant) Mike Miller, and we're anxious. We think he's got some skills that are rare for that position."'

Marker RB Thomas visits Bills for possible backup job [5:17 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'His production has steadily declined, however, in part due to finger and foot injuries. Last season Thomas lost his starting job to free agent Thomas Jones and finished the year with 404 yards on 122 attempts, both career lows.'

Marker Glover agrees to deal with Bills [5:16 AM]
Lubbock Avalanche Journal reports: 'Glover caught 62 passes for 660 yards and one touchdown last year, when he missed the final month of the regular season with a broken foot.'

Marker Hawkins, Glover get free agent contracts [5:15 AM]

He finished his career one short of tying the school record for touchdown catches. He also was a vital part of the offense that became the first in NCAA history to record three receivers with 1,000-plus yards and five receivers with at least 70 catches.'

Marker A-Train Stops in Buffalo [10:12 PM]
RNews.com reports: 'He played four seasons in Chicago rushing for over 3,000 and scored 21 touchdowns.'

Marker The A-Train Chugs Into Town [10:11 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Thomas said he liked his visit with Mike Mularkey and Tom Donahoe. He said he was told he would get playing time and doesn't consider himself a backup or a starter. As we've found out with the Bills trying to trade Travis Henry, there really isn't a market for starting runningbacks in the NFL at this time so Thomas is going to have to realize any situation he steps into, it'll be as a backup.'

Marker 'The A-Train' visits Bills as Henry's potential replacement [6:25 PM]
AP reports: 'The Bills coaching staff didn't comment on Thomas' visit. But it's likely they offered him the same role as Henry would have: a third-down back who could also fill in whenever McGahee needed a rest.'

Marker A-Train Thomas Visits One Bills Drive [4:19 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"I'm willing to be a player here," said Thomas. "I'm not going to say I'm going to be a backup or say I'm going to be a starter. They say they are going to give me the opportunity to play and that's good enough for me."'

Marker Travis Henry; top free agents still available [3:08 PM]
Pro Football Weekly reports: Barring a key injury between now and the regular season, interest in trading for Henry likely will remain where it is today — nonexistent. The Bills never received an offer involving a first-day pick in the draft according to general manager Tom Donahoe, who decided not to part with Henry for less than market value. There isn’t a better backup running back in football and Donahoe knows Henry will be with the team when his paychecks start coming in September.

Marker Glover waiting for calls from NFL or CFL [3:08 PM]
Galveston County Daily News reports: '“I keep praying for that one phone call, but I’m not going to stay around waiting for it to happen,” Glover said. “The most frustrating thing about the process is knowing that you can play, but having to wait for someone to give you a chance. I know that I can play in the NFL. I just want the chance to show some-one.”'

Marker Glover Agrees to Free Agent Deal [12:09 PM]
TexasTech.com reports: 'One of the most prolific receivers in Texas Tech football history has agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills and will attend the first rookie training camp of the spring next week. Nehemiah Glover finished his career with 2,725 receiving yards and 21 touchdown receptions.'

Marker Henry knew forecast would stay gloomy [8:51 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I just want to go on with my career," he said. "There is a dark cloud right now, but I know the sun is going to shine on me eventually."'

Marker Unhappy Henry Staying Put [6:16 AM]
WIVB-TV reports: 'As for Travis’ threat that he will sit out the entire season. It’s not going to happen. If he stays home, he does not get paid. There’s no way that he’s going to pass up his paychecks out of some misguided principle. After all he's not an NHL player.'

Marker Twins could teach us [5:41 AM]
Rochester City Newspaper reports: 'What a difference between the Bills and the Twins. In the world of PR, the Bills come off as divas when compared to the small-town hominess of the Twins.'

Marker Post Draft [5:38 AM]
Erie Times News reports: 'In the later rounds, the Bills picked up a King and a Duke. Can’t complain about that, especially when Duke Preston, a G/C, only gave up one sack his final two seasons at Illinois. That is something to write home about.'

Marker Agent: Brian willing to play ball [5:32 AM]
Philadelphia Daily News reports: 'The Eagles also have publicly acknowledged interest in Buffalo running back Travis Henry. If they were to trade for Henry, sources have indicated the Eagles would sign him to a long-term deal, which might preclude reaching such an agreement with Westbrook. Since Henry remains untraded, it seems possible the Eagles' stated interest really has to do with gaining leverage in the Westbrook talks. "I would hope that's not the case,'' Agnone said.'

Marker Former NFL Quarterback To Speak At Mayor's Prayer Breakfast [5:23 AM]
Springdale Morning News reports: 'Reich is now a motivational speaker connecting his personal story with a spiritual message, according to information on Reich from the Premier Speakers Bureau.'

Marker Buffalo Bound! [4:31 PM]
Ellicott City View reports: 'Being chosen by the Bills came somewhat as a shock, explained King on Monday. “I had no idea they’d draft me. They said they thought I was going to be a steal. They hadn’t drafted a defensive back in two years so it says a lot,” said King.'

Marker Draft answers Bills’ need for offensive help [10:51 AM]
Olean Times Herald reports: '“We like what we have,” Donahoe said, “we just have to determine where they fit best.”'

Marker Bills beef up their defense [5:02 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Gause, 6-feet-5, 275 pounds, was a three-year starter and All-SEC pick his senior year at South Carolina. Some scouting services had him going as high as the second round due to his great closing speed, but his inconsistent performances hurt him.'

Marker Bills Release Donnelly [5:00 AM]
RNews.com reports: 'Donnelly signed with Buffalo in January. He spent the 2004 training camp with the Atlanta Falcons, but was let go prior to the start of the season.'

Marker Reyer proving old friends wrong as No. 1 punter [4:58 AM]
Manhattan Mercury reports: 'Five Kansas State football players spent Monday signing free agent contracts with teams in the National Football League. Center Mike Johnson signed with the Kansas City Chiefs; Cedrick Williams with the Houston Texans; Tony Madison with the Miami Dolphins; Joe Rheem with the Buffalo Bills; and, Jon Doty with the Carolina Panthers.'

BuffaloBills.com reports: 'Buffalo will hold a pair of workouts on Friday and Saturday along with a morning session Sunday before the weekend concludes. All practices are closed to the public.'

Marker Bills waive TE Donnelly [4:50 PM]
AP reports: 'The tight end out of Syracuse was signed as a free agent in January. In 2003, he started six of eight games for Syracuse and played on the team's punt protection team.'

Marker Preston Making a Name for Himself [3:11 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"Intelligence is very important because [as a center] he has to call the front and change and adjust the blocking schemes," Bills scout Doug Majeski said. "That's important for any center. This is a kid who's very intelligent and that's probably one of his strong points."'
