Mock Draft Comparision [2:36 PM]
ESPN reports: @ ESPN compares three mock drafts posted on their site; Kiper got it wrong regarding Buffalo.
PFW (4/20), Mike Williams
Kiper (4/19), Ryan Sims
ESPN.com (4/17), Mike Williams
Mel Kiper on selection of Mike Williams [2:15 PM]
ESPN reports: I had Williams rated ahead of Bryant McKinnie after the knee injury wasn't viewed as a concern. He could step in at either right or left tackle. At Texas, he protected the blind side of Chris Sims at right tackle, but he has prior experience at left tackle. He is a great pass blocker and is exceptional at sustaining blocks as a run blocker. He is nimble at 375 pounds, often getting downfield to help spring running backs for large gains. He has enough polish to step in and be an immediate starter and anchor on the Bills' offensive line.
Mike Williams Unanimous Choice - no trade considered [1:55 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: The Buffalo Bills kept the fourth pick overall in Saturday's NFL Draft and selected offensive tackle Mike Williams from Texas.
"We didn't receive a phone call while we were on the clock," Donahoe said. "It wouldn't have mattered anyway because we were unanimous in the choice of this young man."
Donahoe believes Williams is an outstanding prospect and talked about upgrading the team's offensive line problems this offseason
Larry Felser has been wrong before .. and is wrong again [1:39 PM]

Bills up offer, but Patriots won't bite [5:24 AM]
Boston Globe reports: 'The Patriots have never acted like a team that wanted Bledsoe out of town, regardless of what they got in return. In fact, one source close to the process said the Patriots feel another team will enter the picture today and better Buffalo's proposal, which is why the Patriots thought about the Bills' offer for about 10 minutes before rejecting it.'
Pats nix Bills' deal for Drew [5:23 AM]
Boston Herald reports: 'The Patriots also were flummoxed by the method in which Donahoe made his offer. Instead of calling Pats personnel director Scott Pioli directly, Donahoe faxed the request - and not just to Pioli. The fax went to five machines throughout the team complexes, including one belonging to owner Bob Kraft. It was a highly unusual move in terms of how business is done in the NFL. Most trade talks are conducted on a one-on-one basis over the phone.'
Patriots reportedly turn down Bills' offer [5:22 AM]

Patriots ponder Bledsoe [3:46 PM]
Springfield Union News reports: 'If the Patriots do not trade Bledsoe by this weekend's draft, they would be faced with having a frustrated backup quarterback on their roster - one who has not been taking part in the team's off-season conditioning program. They seem willing to do that rather than swap their quarterback for little in return.'
Pats Turn Down Bills' Trade Offer for Bledsoe [3:44 PM]
ESPN reports: '...the Patriots turned down the Bills' latest offer after receiving a faxed proposal on Friday. Buffalo offered a No. 2 pick in 2003, with a clause that would have made it a No. 1 pick in 2003 if Bledsoe started 12 games or if the Bills qualified for the playoffs. The Patriots were not interested because the deal dealt with draft picks for next season, rather than this season.'
Blake doesn't believe he's Bills' answer at QB [1:28 PM]
AP reports: 'After being briefly courted by Buffalo, Blake has moved on while the Bills continue their bid to trade for New England's Drew Bledsoe, Blake's agent, Ralph Cindrich said, on Friday.'
NFL still can't measure players' head, heart [1:28 PM]
Olean Times Herald reports: 'Since Bill Polian took over as Bills' general manager before the 1986 draft, Buffalo has been one of the NFL's most successful teams in the player lottery.'
Harrington's fate may decide Bledsoe's future [1:26 PM]
MSNBC reports: 'The general consensus is that market is limited to Buffalo and Cincinnati, but what if the Carolina Panthers decide at the last minute that they can’t win with a sore-armed Chris Weinke?
