Marker Bills bring revamped defense into Coliseum [11:40 AM]
TitansOnline.com reports: 'Titans C Tom Ackerman agreed. “Takeo Spikes,” he declared when asked which Buffalo off-season acquisition would have the most impact. “He is a great player, plays hard. He is one of the top linebackers in the league. I think he’s going to bring in energy for them, a name, and leadership. He’s going to bring that whole defense to another level."'

Marker Bills WR Moulds to provide stiff test for Titans secondary [11:39 AM]
TitansOnline.com reports: '“I think anytime you loose a good player like Price, it can change things,” Walters said. “But I don’t know if it will make him any less effective. I think he is one of the best in the business. He was over at the Pro Bowl with us and I can see why he is a good player. He’s a big guy and fast with great hands.”'

Marker McGahee thinks he can play in 2003 [9:05 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"He has rare power, speed, big-play ability," coach Gregg Williams said. "It's hard to find guys like that at any level of football that can dominate the game the way he was dominating it before he got hurt. There's no doubt in my mind he'll get back to that level."'

Marker Pucillo a true jack of all trades [9:04 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"It's good they had me out there to get some reps with the "ones' and see how I do," said Pucillo, a 6-foot-4, 311-pounder. "It felt good to be out there. They're just taking a look at me at different positions, center and guard."'

Marker Training camp billboard [9:04 AM]

Marker Bills' McGahee proving he's worth it [5:24 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '“ He needs to be in training camp,” said coach Gregg Williams, who hasn’t seen or spoken to his prize rookie since June 13. “ Everybody adjusts from their first camp to their second camp drastically, so it’s good that he’s here before this camp is over and he can see what goes on. I was impressed where he was at when he left in June and knowing his work ethic (I’m sure he’s further along). But we’ll evaluate it, take it slow, and be smart.”'

Marker Football, it gives Bills' Witczak his kicks [5:24 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '“ If things don’t work out with the Bills, I feel my capabilities are good enough to play for someone else. If that’s the case, preseason is an audition for 31 other teams,” Witczak said. “ I know four hot spots right now I think that’s going to be a little circle for kickers going in and out this year."'

Marker Bills' Pucillo gets shot to earn top spot [5:23 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '“ I’m feeling pretty good out there, it’s where I played in college,” he said of the guard position. “ Playing center is a chance for more reps, but we’ll see how this goes.”'

Marker McGahee arrives at training camp [5:22 AM]

Marker Training Camp Report 8/13/03 by zacgriffi80 [10:40 PM]
TheStadiumwall.com reports: Brief Observations:
Pierson Prioleau - Was very impressive. Seems to react the fastest of the safeties. He also was running so fast towards the fence he jumped it. Clarence Coleman - Looked like the best receiver on the field. Caught everything thrown to him including a pass that was way behind him.

Marker Training Camp Report 8/13/03 by BillsGuyInMalta [10:36 PM]
TheStadiumwall.com reports: Tim Krumrie scares me. There I said it. That man looks like he could benchpress a Ford truck if he so desired.

Marker RB Willis McGahee Reports To Bills Camp [8:23 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"I think it's important to have the focus on one thing - that's worrying about the Bills winning and doing what we have to do, not just worrying about the Bills and worrying about what I'm doing. The pressure is off the whole organization about what I'm going to do and how I'm going to turn out. We can just concentrate on one thing right now. I'm just happy to be here.'

Marker Spikes prepared for new challenge [8:02 PM]
NFL.com reports: "We expect to set records on Defense," Spikes said. "Right now, we're developing great chemistry. Expect a lot of plays and a lot of excitement by this years Buffalo Bills defense."

Marker Player Q&A: RB Olandis Gary [3:28 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"I just wanted to be a contender and I saw what they did in free agency early on with the defense and showing off the defense. I think that is what you win super bowls with, is with a great defense. The weapons that they had on offense are just unbelievable with Eric Moulds, Drew Bledsoe, Travis Henry and those guys. It's just been great playing with them."'

Marker Titans to face Bills without McGahee on field [1:29 PM]
TitansOnline.com reports: 'McGahee will most likely not see action this season, leaving one question to be asked -- Is an injured running back taken this year better than a healthy running back taken next year?'

Marker Done deal: McGahee reporting today [8:56 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I am glad the Bills were the team that drafted Willis," said Drew Rosenhaus, McGahee's agent. "They were very fair. Tom Donahoe and (Vice President for Business Administration) Jim Overdorf have been nothing but very classy and have treated Willis as a family member of their organization from Day One. They were considerate of his special situation. I couldn't be more pleased. . . . The incentive package is very unique and I think the Bills deserve a tremendous amount of credit for dealing with him fairly and recognizing his talent."'

Marker Training camp billboard [8:55 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I like them not so much on personnel but on the spirit they're showing," Zimmerman said. "I like (defensive line coach) Tim Krumrie, I like (defensive coordinator) Jerry Gray. I think they're well-coached, they play hard and the division is so close and that might be what it takes to make it to the top."'

Marker McGahee signs, is due in camp [5:12 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '“ We thought enough of (Willis) to draft him where we did and we think he’s a professional player now and he needs to get on with that phase of his life,” Donahoe said. “ Even though he’s not on the practice field right away, he’ll be in meetings, working on his relationships with his teammates and coaches and the people on this team. We think that’s all an important phase of it.”'

Marker Coleman keeps cool [5:11 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'In last Saturday’s 20-19 win over the Baltimore Ravens, Coleman led all receivers with five catches for 89 yards. Two of his receptions went for gains of 36 and 25 yards and four catches overall were good for first downs.'

Marker A huge talent gets better [5:10 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '“ He’s a remarkable athlete for an offensive lineman,” Gilbride said. “ He’s a big, strong kid that can run. He’s got athleticism and he’s a terrific young man.”'

Marker Return to Nashville a first for Bills coach Williams [5:09 AM]
Nashville Tennessean reports: '''And if you woulda, coulda, shoulda we could have very easily been 11-5 last year if a few bounces went our way,'' Williams said. ''And that's with $20 million in dead money against the cap. We don't have that situation now, we like what we've done, so yes, I think we can be a playoff team."'

Marker Bledsoe tees off, but not on Pats [5:08 AM]
Boston Herald reports: 'As for the Pats and the season-opener against his former team at Orchard Park Sept. 7, Bledsoe couldn't wait to bring it on. When asked if it would feel different playing Bill Belichick & Co. this time around, one year removed, Bledsoe shrugged. ``I really don't know,'' he said. ``We just need to win the game. We got through a lot of the hype and the hoopla from the first time last year. We just need to produce on the field better when we play them. That's the big thing.'''

Marker The Bills Come To Terms With Their Number One Pick [5:07 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'If McGahee is placed on the reserve non football injury list, Buffalo is not obligated to pay his 411-thousand salary, but will do so. General Manager Tom Donahoe says he hasn't decided if McGahee will be put on that list. He could stay on the roster and just be one of the inactives until he's healthy. Donahoe maintained that he will not take any chances with his young running back.'
