Yeah, man, I don’t sleep at night. I’ve got 60% hearing loss in my left ear from right-handed defensive linemen head-slapping me. There’s no wedge, there’s no Astroturf, no head slap (in the NFL now), how come? Because we were the walking guinea pigs for these guys.”'

Marker Former NFL star offers area kids life lessons [4:16 AM]
Warren Tribune Chronicle reports: '"Work ethic, character, morals, values and those things that are important in life because football is only going to last a certain amount of time," Beebe said. "It's going to be over and then what? Most of them it's going to be high school and it'll be done. Then they have to go be fathers, husbands and they got to get a job. If they don't have the groundwork of character and those values in life, they're going to struggle. I want them to grasp it and understand hard work always pays off, no matter what they do in life. That's what I want them to leave with that kind of feeling - that they're on top of the world and accomplish things nobody thought they could and they have to work hard in life."'

Fox Sports reports: 'I hope I’m wrong and the light goes on for Young in Buffalo and he uses his time wisely. I applaud the signing of Young as a backup for the Bills under Gailey. The Sports Xchange reports: 'Progress is being made toward a renewal of the Bills agreement with Rogers Communications to play games in Toronto. The NFL's International Committee is expected to take up the topic as part of its May agenda. The five-year deal expires in 2012. "Discussions are ongoing with the Buffalo Bills about extending the Bills Toronto Series deal," Rogers Media president Keith Pelley said in a statement. "While I am cautiously optimistic, we have nothing to announce at this time." The new deal is expected to be less than the $78 million the Bills reaped originally. Marker Respectful Young is here to learn [4:10 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"What I was basically saying is just the respect of the players. Just like we have here, we have a lot of respectable players on this team as well," Young said. "From Fitz, from Jax [Fred Jackson], it's a long list of guys. I definitely won't make that comment again because it was definitely blown out of proportion. It's just to show you that it's the respect I have for the players that were around in that locker room."'

Buffalo News reports: '"My whole thing is that I use it as motivation to silence my doubters," he said. "I have a huge doubter base. The only people you can make happy is your family members, your coaching staff and your teammates. The ones you do love. Those are the ones I focus on, everything else I just put too much focus on.
