Rochester D&C reports: '“I think we’re doing some tremendous things here,” Jackson said after he signed a new contract that ties him to the team through 2014. “I think we can get a lot accomplished in three years. They’re doing a great job in the front office getting us the pieces that we feel like we needed. To kind of take that next step, I’m excited to be a part of it. I’m excited to sign the extension to stay here because I feel like something special is about to go down and I want to be a part of it.”'

AP reports: 'Jackson, who has led the Bills in rushing in three straight seasons, was scheduled to make a base salary of $1.955 million in entering the final year of his contract. He had expressed his dissatisfaction on several occasions last year of feeling underpaid.'

The Sports Network reports: 'Terms were not disclosed, but the Buffalo News reported it to be a two-year deal that will keep him with the club through 2014. He was entering the final season of a four-year deal he signed in May of 2009.'

Crop was a transfer from USC and a "sleeper" type prospect in pre-draft reports.'

Thigpen is a former seventh-round draft choice who has played five seasons and has 12 career starts. He went 1-10 with a Kansas City team that finished 2-14 in 2008. He has just one start since, for Miami in 2010.'
