"So we will keep the door open and will continue to look, because that is probably the fair thing to do."'

Marker Donahoe discounts Henry's threat to sit out [9:31 PM]
AP reports: 'In an interview with Sirius NFL Radio on Wednesday, Donahoe said he's still attempting to trade Henry, but added he expects the player to return to Buffalo for the final year of his contract if a deal doesn't materialize. ''I have heard every threat that there is. It's just that time of year where people posture,'' Donahoe said. ''But to take the year off and not play football, that is professional suicide.'''

Marker NFL Europe Interview with Kevin Thompson [9:30 PM] reports: 'Q: What about your chances to make the Bills roster?
A: I'm not looking that far. For me, it is important to focus on my team and game right here. I don't want to cheat myself and the team. I'll try to get better and improve my game. Anything else is not on my focus right now.'

Marker Bannan, Peters Line Up [11:56 AM] reports: 'The switch is a risk for Bannan who goes from one side of the ball to the other in the final year of his contract. "It is a risk," Bannan admitted. "I can go over there and it might not pan out like I want it to or the Bills want it to, but it's a risk I'm willing to take. If all else fails I'll go back to defense, but this is something I'm looking forward to and I want to help the team and win. If the coaches think I can be a good fit on the other side then why not? I'm ready to give it a shot."'

Marker Joe D takes a (steroid) shot at Haslett [10:31 AM]
Olean Times Herald reports: 'DeLamielleure admitted he and Haslett were hardly fast friends. “I’ll never forget the first time I met that kid,” he recalled. “He wanted to know how much I made. ‘What's your contract?’ That guy says things without thinking, and it’s typical Jim Haslett, an attention-calling thing. Now he finds out that he looks like (a fool) so now he’s going to back off of it, but I have no sympathy for the guy.”'

Marker Bills cruising in lower gear this offseason [8:50 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'But the Bills' conservative fiscal approach is the right way to go. They are too close to a postseason breakthrough and have worked too hard to get their salary cap under control to start throwing money around.'

Marker Mularkey hopes to build on momentum [8:50 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"But I've learned a lot. I think it's been a little smoother this year with a staff in place and you've got a system in place. You have a better idea of how you want to do things. There are even some tweaks and some things we're going to do in training camp that will be easier to put together than it was last year doing it for the first time."'

Marker Delamielleure unhappy with Haslett [5:03 AM]
Charlotte Observer reports: 'After the 1985 season, Delamielleure was forced from the game, primarily because he couldn't add weight to his 260-pound frame. "I was very bitter; 260 got me into the Hall of Fame, and all of a sudden it's not big enough to play," he said. "No matter how hard I worked out, I couldn't get bigger than that. That last year I was barely hanging on. And guys were cheating but nothing was done until a couple of years later."'

Ritcher said coaches often threatened to replace him with somebody bigger, but he never gave into using steroids, and starred for 14 seasons. He did use nutritional supplements, but gave them up after suffering too many pulled muscles.'

Marker Strategy and personnel [6:39 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: 'Following the departure of Jonas Jennings, Mike Williams might switch to the left side. Either way, Mike Gandy isn't the answer as a starter. The Bills need someone who can step in and play on the left or right side.'

Marker Notes, quotes [6:39 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: 'Since 1993 when the league began awarding compensatory draft picks for losing free agents, the Bills have been awarded 20 picks, fourth most in the league. Buffalo won't be adding to that total this year, however, as it did not receive any of the 32 picks the league has doled out for the 2005 draft. The Bills moves last year didn't make them eligible for compensation under the formula used. For example, Buffalo did lose star CB Antoine Winfield, but added Pro Bowl veteran CB Troy Vincent.'

Marker Haslett revelation stuns Hull [5:03 AM]
Orlando Sentinel reports: 'But put yourself in Hull's place. You've been out of football since 1996, finally finding peace with losing four consecutive Super Bowls. Then, one day out of the blue, a former teammate throws you under the bus like so...'.
