DetroitLions.com reports: Prior to joining the Saints in 2002, Irvin spent seven seasons in Buffalo, where he started 46 games from 1997 to 1999. He originally was a fourth-round pick of the Bills in the 1995 NFL Draft out of Memphis.

Marker Chris Brown: Bills Sign RFA Kicker to Offer Sheet [7:43 PM]
WGR reports: The offer sheet for Lindell is proof that the Bills were not going to pay top ten kicker money for Mike Hollis, who was looking for about $1.3 million a season. That's a 50 percent raise from last year's $650 thousand dollar salary.

Bills GM Tom Donahoe was apparently convinced that Hollis was going to stick to his guns on that figure in light of recent deals for John Hall (5 years $7.13M) and Chicago's Paul Edinger (5 years $7M) and decided to look elsewhere.
