Marker Could Jeff Tuel get cut? [1:53 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'At this point, Kraig Urbik vs. Doug Legursky is the battle to watch. Neither has been great this preseason, but Legursky has struggled when given opportunities to play with the starters.'

Marker Buffalo Bills roster cuts include Brian Moorman, Landon Cohen, Jordan Palmer [1:52 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'The Bills also placed cornebacks Mario Butler (ankle) and Bobby Felder (groin) and tight end Tony Moeaki (hamstring) on the Reserve/Injured list. In addition, long snapper Garrison Sanborn received a contract extension. The roster is now at 62 players and need to be down to 53 players by Saturday at 4 p.m.'

Marker Bon Jovi out of Toronto NFL group? If so, he wasn’t booted [1:51 AM]
Toronto Sun reports: 'Multiple sources for months have told QMI Agency that Bon Jovi has run, navigated and overseen every decision at every step of the process within the Toronto bid group from the get-go.'

Marker Bon Jovi out of group bidding for Bills [1:50 AM]
New York Post reports: '“Rogers is very serious” about buying the team, another source close to the process said. There have been recent media reports about the Toronto bid falling apart — but in reality it is reforming, sources said.'

Marker QB Palmer, P Moorman among 10 players cut by Bills [1:49 AM]
AP reports: 'Buffalo also placed three players on reserve/injured: tight end Tony Moeaki and cornerbacks Mario Butler and Bobby Felder.'

Marker Moorman given the boot by Bills [1:48 AM]
The Sports Network reports: 'In a letter released through his P.U.N.T. Foundation, Moorman said, "It may be the end of a career, but it's certainly not the end of a friendship."'

Marker Bills cut QB Palmer, sign Orton [1:47 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: 'According to reports, the 31-year-old Orton signed a one-year contract to back up starter EJ Manuel. The Dallas Cowboys released Orton in the offseason after he threatened to retire.'

Marker Bills unsure at quarterback heading into season [1:46 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: '"Quarterbacks, especially young ones, are very streaky," said Marrone, who is trying his best to defend his second-year starter, and did so after the last game by saying two of the four incompletions Manuel threw were quasi drops. "I thought that we had some good pockets at times where he was back there. I thought the two throws ... are they catchable? I think they could have been. Could they have been better throws? I think it could've been both."'

Marker Bills' Watkins ''good to go,'' per report [1:45 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Watkins suffered the injury on a slant pattern over the middle of the field. An inaccurate throw led the wideout a bit too far and Detroit linebacker Ashlee Palmer ran over and landed a forearm right into the rookie's bruised ribs.'

Marker Bills sign Sanborn to three-year, $3.3m extension [1:44 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'According to a league source, Sanborn's new contract is a three-year extension that will pay a total of $3.3 million over the lifetime of the deal. The three years are tacked on to the final year of his current contract, so he's not set to hit free agency again until March of 2018.'

Marker Urbik, Graham on the trade block? [1:43 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'According to two separate reports, guard Kraig Urbik and wide receiver T.J. Graham are being shopped by the Bills.'

Marker Bills' cuts include QB Palmer [1:42 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Palmer, who joined the Bills after he was let go by the Chicago Bears, did not last a week in Buffalo.'

Marker Tracking the Bills' march to 53 [1:41 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'The Bills announced the release of 10 players and the placement of three players on to Injured Reserve. The roster is currently at 62, and subtracting one spot for Bradham, they'll need to cut eight more players by Saturday afternoon.'

Marker Bills 53-man roster projection: 8/29 [1:40 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'The Bills' quarterback position is nearly one of the worst in the league in terms of depth. Thad Lewis was a disappointment in the summer, Jeff Tuel hasn't taken the next step the Bills were hoping for and Jordan Palmer didn't show the necessary arm strength against backups to prove he was worthy of a roster spot. Even though the Bills might only keep two quarterbacks initially, don't expect only Manuel and Tuel to make up this roster. There has to be an additional move coming, they can't go into the season with their current trio, or in this case, duo.'

Marker LS Garrison Sanborn signs extension with Bills [1:39 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'Sanborn has been the team’s primary long snapper for the past five seasons. The 6-1, 240-pound Florida State product has played in all 80 games since 2009.'

Marker Disturbing performance at 'The Ralph' [12:16 PM]
Olean Times Herald reports: 'A friends and family crowd generously listed at 57,247 — the newly-refurbished stadium was barely half full — saw nary a single indication that this team, on the verge of being sold, is one bit ready to take on the Bears in Chicago a week from Sunday.'

Marker Jeff Tuel, T.J. Graham among 5 Buffalo Bills on bubble [8:26 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'Marrone insists Brian Moorman has been punting well in practice, but games have been a different story for the veteran. He has shanked punts in consecutive preseason games and isn't nearly consistent as the Bills need him to be. If a better punter ends up on the waiver wire, the Bills could make a move.'

Marker Offense gives ungainly effort for Bills [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The running game in particular looked stuck during the starting offense’s three possessions. On five carries – Spiller’s two and three by Bryce Brown – the running game accounted for minus-1 yard.'

Marker Forward progress seems out of reach for Bills [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'It’s probably for the best that they open on the road. If fans booed in the preseason, there’s no telling how they’ll react if it’s this bad when the games count.'

Marker Toughest stretch at end [1:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The start of the schedule isn’t brutal, so the Bills should be able to keep their hopes up and stay in the race through Thanksgiving. The toughest stretch is at the end. The upside there is maybe bad weather can be an equalizer for the Bills against some strong teams.'

Marker Sammy Watkins injured as Bills’ lose preseason finale [1:56 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Manuel played the first three series, covering the entire first quarter. He was 3-for-7 for 56 yards but was sacked twice and missed at least one wide-open receiver on a medium-range throw.'

Marker Sammy Watkins injured, Jordan Palmer struggles in 23-0 loss [1:55 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'But the 23-0 loss was more of the same for EJ Manuel and company. The first-team offense took three series. Manuel completed three passes and was sacked twice, while rookie receiver Sammy Watkins re-injured his ribs on his only target of the night.'

Marker Doug Marrone isn't comfortable with Jeff Tuel as Buffalo Bills' backup quarterback [1:54 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'The reality is Tuel hadn't been much better than Lewis was before he was cut. And Palmer threw three interceptions after having only a few days to learn the playbook before being thrown into the fire on Thursday.'

Marker Sammy Watkins injury the final straw in an underwhelming preseason for Buffalo Bills [1:53 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'Nothing with Watkins went as planned, and not a whole lot else did for the Bills this preseason. It is just the preseason, and the games don't count, but Marrone would have preferred to see fewer penalties from his time, more consistency at quarterback and maybe a few more wins.'

Marker Sammy Watkins injury a tough blow, and 5 observations from Bills preseason loss to Lions [1:52 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'To be fair, Palmer had only a few days to prepare for the game Thursday, but the result was ugly. Palmer was intercepted three times and completed only nine of his 22 passes for 73 yards. Jeff Tuel didn't take a single snap, so Palmer isn't likely to pass him on the depth chart anytime soon.'

Marker Bills rookie Watkins injured in pre-season game [1:51 AM]
Toronto Sun reports: 'With an offensive line more fragile than its quarterback, what good could have come from starting Manuel and company other than to soothe the sore feelings of being booed off the field five days earlier at half-time of a game that they trailed 24-0? A meaningless touchdown drive against a Lions defence resting most of its starters, including hulking tackle Ndamukong Suh? Hardly.''
