Marker Mike Doser: Riemersma says current deal is it [5:57 PM]
Shout! reports: Riemersma said he is going to play under his current contract. Tom Donahoe said that Riemersma's agent Jack Wirth stated to him, "There is nothing to talk about." Donahoe seemed a bit put-off by the negotiations. Buffalo does not need more cap space to sign its rookies, but the manner in which Donahoe explained the situation tells me that if the team wants to bring in an additional free agent sometime, it might not have any qualms about cutting the veteran tight end at this point.

Marker Bills Make A Good Situation Better [4:34 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: The move came as a surprise to many Bills fans. With a young backfield that includes second-year man Travis Henry, NFL Europe star Curtis Alexander, late season starter Shawn Bryson, special teams specialist Sammy Morris, and rookie Joe Burns, the addition of Huntley, who is in his seventh season in the NFL, has been questioned.

Marker Huntley arriving this week at Bills camp [4:31 PM]
AP reports: 'But when asked if Huntley's signing would make a trade more likely, Bills president Tom Donahoe said, "Not really. Names come up in conversations, and most of it is just conversation."'

Marker Three Days 'Til Uniform Unveiling [3:05 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: Gates will open on June 8 at 12:30 PM and the event will begin at 1:30 PM. Players will be available afterwards for kids 14 and under and a ticket stub will be required to receive autographs. The event will feature a live performance by a national recording act, which will be announced later.

Marker Drew Bledsoe Comments After Practice [2:03 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: Bledsoe On Huntley: "I'm just glad to have him in the mix with us and how we use him we'll just have to wait and see. But he is a guy that we are happy to have in the mix with us."

Marker Good Cuts: Successful June Signings [11:12 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: One need look no further than at four recent members of June free-agent classes to see that teams looking for key pieces can occasionally find them among the raft of released players.

Marker It's defensive production or bust for Bills' Flowers [9:12 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'This is a make-or-break year for the former first-round draft pick, who is battling second-year pro Kendrick Office and second-round draft pick Ryan Denney for Hansen's left end spot. If Flowers doesn't produce, he'll be forever labeled as a bust.'

Marker Addition of Huntley clouds Bryson's future [9:12 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The 5-foot-11, 225-pound Huntley is a big, physical back with good speed and elusiveness. He's been hampered by hamstring injuries but has been productive when healthy.'

Marker Dunaway must pay $579,112 to his children [9:11 AM]
Hattiesburg American reports: 'Jim Dunaway played for the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins and was married to Nonniel Dunaway for 35 years.'

Marker Bills expect Bledsoe to bring strong QB play, leadership [8:59 AM]
Pro Football Weekly reports: By any measure, it had already been a remarkable offseason for the Bills.

Fresh from a 3-13 disaster, they had lost LB Cowart to Jets via free agency, and injury-plagued QB RJ was exposed to Houston and then waived.

But before Bills’ fans could slip into depression, Tom Donahoe delivered a
megadose of hope. He signed eight modestly priced, but decidedly valuable veterans. Second he had a solid draft. And finally they traded for a starting QB Drew Bledsoe.

Marker Huntley will compete for starting job [8:33 AM]
ESN reports: Huntley likes the situation in Buffalo because of past relationships with Tom Donahoe and Kevin Gilbride while with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After his visit to Buffalo in April, Huntley was "sky high" about the possibility of playing in Western New York. He will now have that opportunity but it will likely mean the end of Bryson's career with the team.

Marker Empire to hold uniform unveiling live [8:31 AM]
ESN reports: Empire Sports Network will provide live coverage of the Buffalo Bills uniform unveiling on Saturday, June 8 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. It will be replayed at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8. ESN is available outside western New York through Direct TV (ch.626) and EchoStar (ch.432) home satellite systems.

Marker Mike Doser: Huntley more of an ST than RB acquisition [8:24 AM]
Shout! reports: At first glance, the Richard Huntley acquisition seems to make little sense, particularly because Buffalo is in real need of a proven under tackle and left end, and it already has two decent backup running backs in Sammy Morris and Shawn Bryson. But the more you look at it, the more it adds up. I just don't know if it adds up more than their need at under tackle and left end.

Marker Lary Bump: Not very OFFENSIVE [8:22 AM]
Shout! reports: During the Bills' May mini-camp, their offense looked ahead of the defense. But when the June mini-camp opened Tuesday, the defense clearly had the upper hand.

Marker Moulds, NFL to meet [5:26 AM]
D and C reports: '"For the most part, Eric had no idea (of the policy) and to be honest, none of us did either," said Greg Johnson, one of Moulds' agents. "But we're going to find out the extent of what he can and can't endorse and once we find out, we'll talk with the company. We've had a good relationship with them and we're just trying to make sense of it all, so it's not something that turns into a big deal."'

Marker Big back Huntley agrees to terms [5:26 AM]
D and C reports: 'Huntley's acquisition possibly paves the way for a long-rumored trade of Shawn Bryson to Philadelphia for a draft pick.'

Marker Running back Huntley signs with Bills [5:15 AM]
AP reports: 'Huntley becomes the ninth free agent to join the Bills this offseason, and enters a packed backfield.'

Marker Adding Huntley might lead to a possible trade [10:16 PM]
ESPN reports: Len Pasquarelli gives some thoughts on Huntley's potential value, including his role as a third-down back, special-teams player, and possibly kick-returner. However, he does mention something about being prone to off-the-field indiscretions...

Marker Huntley Added To Bills Backfield [9:27 PM]
WIVB-TV reports: 'Huntley, 29, spent the 2001 season with Carolina and led the Panthers in rushing with 665 yards on 165 carries with two touchdowns. He also had 21 catches for 101 yards and one TD receiving.'

Marker Bills sign Huntley [9:24 PM]
WGRZ-TV reports: 'While Travis Henry is still considered the starter heading into training camp next month, Huntley is good enough to push him. Sammy Morris also figures in the mix, and Curtis Alexander is leading NFL Europe in rushing and will be fighting for a roster spot.'

Marker Moulds undecided on whether to continue endorsing supplement [9:18 PM]
AP reports: '``I've had a long-standing relationship with the supplement company and I'd hate to see that relationship go. But you have to abide by league policies, and I have to see what happens.'''

Marker Brown likes Bills offensive line; misses Fina [9:17 PM]
AP reports: '"I think we might be even younger than we were last year, but very talented," he said. "We're probably one of the most talented lines I've been on since I've been here."'

Marker Bills add to glut at Running Back [7:42 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: The Bills today announced that the team has agreed to terms with running back Richard Huntley. He played for Carolina last year but was drafted in the 4th round in 1997 by Atlanta and played 3 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1998-00).

Marker Camp Report: Bills Move On Without John Fina [5:22 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: The Bills began their June organized team activity on Tuesday with an indoor workout in the team's 95,000 square-foot fieldhouse and for the first time since 1991 season, Bills' jersey number 70 was worn by someone other than John Fina.

Marker Little money, lots of interest in June 1 cuts [5:03 PM]
Pro Football Weekly reports: OT John Fina’s game is quickness, but with a bad leg last year he had no quickness. Since Fina has had a decade in the league already, he will earn close to a $1 million base salary if he makes the minimum. Where might he fit? Fina would fit in St. Louis, which has nothing behind Orlando Pace at left tackle.

Marker Jury awards Dunaway children $579,000 in wrongful death case [4:55 PM]
AP reports: Former NFL defensive lineman Jim Dunaway was ordered to pay his children more than $500,000 in the wrongful death of his wife. Jim Dunaway was charged in 1988 two days after Nonniel Dunaway's body was found by a relative in the half-empty pool outside a house she owned in rural Marion County. Jim Dunaway, selected in the second round of the 1963 draft by Buffalo, played nine seasons with the Bills and was a member of the Miami Dolphins' undefeated Super Bowl championship team in 1972.

Marker Josh Reed named male recipient of the James J. Corbett Award [10:09 AM]
LSU Sports reports: Josh Reed was named the recipient of the James J. Corbett Award, the Nokia Sugar Bowl announced on Friday. The Corbett Award is presented annually by the Sugar Bowl and is given to the top male and female amateur athletes in Louisiana. Reed, a second round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills, was honored for his achievements during the 2001 season.

Marker Moore Than A Football Player [9:26 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: Tom Donahoe has stressed he wants to build the Bills around well-rounded athletes that are strong players on the field and strong persons off the field. A seasoned 10-year vet, who's very active in the community, Dave Moore fits this profile.

Marker Bills say goodbye to Fina [9:22 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I can only hope that the next phase of my life will be as enriching as the last 10 years have been for me in Buffalo and with the Bills."'

Marker Reed running a new route [9:21 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'In addition to pursuing a broadcasting career, Reed also is interested in doing some acting. He owns a residence in Los Angeles and has made several contacts in the television and movie business.'
