Marker Bills add WR Ed Eagan to 53-man roster, release OT Michael Ola; add three to practice squad [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Bills opted not to promote Dez Lewis from the practice squad, a troubling sign for the receiver who had a solid spring, but could not make the team out of training camp.'

Marker Vic Carucci's Take Five: Blount isn't Ajayi & Bills must keep it that way [1:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'It's fair to say the Bills will be determined to avoid being overmatched physically, something that doesn't figure to happen against an offensive line that isn't as good as the one they faced at Hard Rock Stadium. It's also fair to say that they can, and probably will, clean up the issues they had with cutbacks and missed tackles.'

Marker Vic Carucci's Bills Wake-Up Call: Was O-line disaster an aberration? [1:56 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The behemoths ran into a defensive front that not only matched their strength and scrappiness, but far surpassed it. This was an awful day that the Bills' offensive linemen never believed was possible, especially after the way it made would-be tacklers seemingly vanish through the previous two games and earlier stretches of a four-game winning streak.'

Marker Buffalo Bills fall in Week 8 power rankings after loss to Miami Dolphins [1:55 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Buffalo's most significant drop was over at CBS Sports. Pete Prisco dropped the Bills down nine spots to No. 20.'

Marker Buffalo Bills promote WR Ed Eagan to 53-man roster, release offensive tackle [1:54 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Eagan played in 44 games at Northwestern State. He played in nine games as a cornerback before moving to wide receiver. WGR-AM reports: 'To make room for Eagan, the Bills released offensive lineman Michael Ola from the active roster.'

Marker Joe B All-22 Review: Grading Bills vs. Dolphins (10/25/16) [1:51 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: ' The Dolphins rushed for over 200 yards against the Bills, and Preston Brown was a major reason for that.'

Marker Bills elevate practice squad WR Eagan to active roster [1:50 AM] reports: 'Eagan (5-10, 193) was signed to the Bills practice squad on Sept. 27th where he has worked primarily as a scout team receiver before getting the call up Tuesday. The rookie out of Northwestern State is a quick and elusive wide out that gets in and out of his cuts quickly. Creating quick separation is important in the scope of Buffalo’s passing offense.'

Marker Bills Today: Aaron Williams up and around; status TBD [1:49 AM] reports: '“Well no (I wouldn’t rule him out), I mean I am not a (medical) professional, but we are absolutely going to err on the side of caution,” Ryan said. “You know there is no doubt with a head and neck injury that is probably as severe of an injury as you can get so you will make sure that he is never going to go out on the field if he hasn’t been cleared by professionals certainly.”'

Marker Ryan moving on after loss to Dolphins [10:14 AM]
Olean Times Herald reports: '“It’s a huge challenge. I want to say it now because Tom Brady’s playing … just kidding,” Ryan said. “But, in all seriousness, we’re going to measure ourselves against the two best now (Buffalo plays at Seattle the following Monday). We’re going to find out all about us. After a game like this, where we clearly never played – or coached – as good as we need to, the ultimate test is right in front of us.”'

Marker Analysis: Missed tackles played a big part in Jay Ajayi running all over Bills [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The analytics website Pro Football Focus charged the Bills with a whopping 16 missed tackles against the Dolphins, bringing their season total to 57 – fourth most in the NFL. Ryan said the team charts missed tackles in its film review of games, and that the issue “certainly wasn’t anywhere close to what it was yesterday.”'

Marker Bills' Aaron Williams back in meetings after 'totally unnecessary' hit; Rex Ryan lobb [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"He's walking around and he's talking to people," coach Rex Ryan said. "Our medical people are still evaluating his head and neck."'

Marker Rex Ryan not backtracking on decision to play LeSean McCoy [1:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"The decision to play LeSean, as I mentioned was, he got clearance from medical personnel. That’s a variety of tests – tons of tests," Ryan said. "The player needs to sign off on it, so it’s not just, ‘Hey, the medical says you’re OK. You’re going out there.’ So LeSean wanted to play. He felt like he was ready to play. We took him to pregame and he was running routes at full speed and burst and things like that.'

Marker Pats have a way of ruining your sweep dreams [1:56 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Going back to 2001 season, the year Tom Brady took over as the quarterback, the Patriots have never lost twice to a team in the AFC East in the regular season. On Sunday at New Era Field, the Bills will attempt to become the first division opponent to sweep them since 2000, Bill Belichick's first year as head man.'

Marker Rex Ryan's Monday presser after the Dolphins loss [1:55 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Alright obviously you know I talked about the game after it happened nothing really changed. You know we were still in the game and like I mentioned yesterday even though we were up by 11 points in the second half it never felt like we were in control of the game because we were getting out played, out coached whatever you say it never felt like we were in control of the game. I thought Miami was in control of the game and at the end of the day we need to make more plays on offense, defense and they made more than we did and that is why we won.'

Marker Rex Ryan: Landry hit was 'dirty' and 'unnecessary' [1:54 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '“Did he target? Did he launch? Yeah, he did all those, check every box you want,’’ Ryan said. “Was it a dirty hit? Yeah. It was unnecessary … and unsportsmanlike. I thought the officials got it right; it was unnecessary roughness. A football play, he came in for a crack block, but there was nothing physical about it. I was surprised he did it and I’m absolutely disappointed. Now I have a player who’s in jeopardy. I don’t understand it.’’'

Marker Bills were beaten on both sides up front [1:53 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'More disturbing to Rex Ryan, I’m sure, was the way his defense was pushed around by the Dolphins offensive line. Miami shredded the Bills for 256 yards rushing, much of that with Jay Ajayi running through massive holes. And the Buffalo pass rush was pretty much neutralized as the lone sack came from Lorenzo Alexander.'

Marker Breaking down Shaq Lawson's Buffalo Bills debut against Dolphins in Week 7 [1:52 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: '"It was great to be out there and go out and get my feet wet," Lawson said after the game. "It's been a long time since I played a game, so I didn't know what the feeling was playing a game."'

Marker Buffalo Bills' Aaron Williams thanks fans and friends for thoughts and prayers [1:51 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Head coach Rex Ryan told the media on Monday that the medical staff is still evaluating Williams' head and neck and that the team would err on the side of caution when it came to his well being.'

Marker Bills need to turnaround AFC woes [1:50 AM]
Batavia Daily News reports: '“You want to win the physical battle each week. And quite honestly, up until this point, we pretty much have,” Buffalo head coach Rex Ryan said. “We got whipped by the Jets, we definitely got out-physicaled Sunday."'

Marker Bills’ Rex Ryan upset with hit on Aaron Williams during Miami loss [1:49 AM]
Batavia Daily News reports: '“A head or neck injury is as severe of an injury as you can get. He’ll never hit the field if he wasn’t cleared by professionals,” Ryan said.'

Marker Gase won't ask Landry to change the way he plays after dangerous high hit [1:48 AM]
Miami Herald reports: '"I know the way Jarvis plays, it's going to be aggressive, it's going to be intense," Gase added. "For anybody to kind of start thinking, 'dirty play,' and things like that, I've been around the guys for less than a year. I haven't seen that from him. I've see a guy who when we coach him up on things, tries to do things the right way."'

Marker Dolphins acknowledge Landry's hit was too high, but say it wasn't dirty [1:47 AM]
South Florida Sun Sentinel reports: '"It was a good call, it was a penalty," Christensen said. "We can't go high. The league is emphasizing that." But Gase said it wasn't a dirty play. He also said he likes Landry's edge. "I'm not going to change the way he plays," Gase said. "I call plays early in the game for him to set the tempo."'

Marker Bills coach Ryan calls Landry's hit on Williams 'dirty' [1:46 AM]
AP reports: '"Call it what you want," Landry said. "It's football."'

Marker Ryan's Bills bullied at line of scrimmage by Miami [1:45 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: '"We got out-physicaled on both sides of the ball, which is rare for us, but it happened," Ryan said. "Obviously, we got outplayed, we got outcoached, we got out-everything'd. They were a more physical team today, there's no doubt about that. They controlled the game and that's why they won the game."'

Marker First-round pick Lawson finally debuts for Bills [1:44 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: '"I thought I had him," Lawson said. "It's going to come. Just be patient. I was kind of anxious at first, so I just had to settle down. I was just trying to stay focused and stay calm."'

Marker Rex Ryan: Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry should've been tossed [1:43 AM]
ESPN reports: '"Yeah, it was totally unnecessary," Ryan said Monday. "Did [Landry] target, did he launch? Yeah, he did all those. You can check every box you want. Was it a dirty hit? Yeah. It was unnecessary. And as I see it, it was unsportsmanlike."'

Marker Bills threw me some curve balls [1:42 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'The biggest problem with this loss is that it made me immediately think the Bills will be 4-5 after the next two games. I didn't think this was a lock it in win like San Francisco the week before but its a game I thought the Bills should be able to get and was one of those wins in the "how do I get them to 10 victories" discussion.'

Marker A Terrible Loss [1:41 AM]
Bills Daily reports: Well, THAT happened. It’s never easy to see the Bills get dominated by an opponent, but it wasn’t the first time it happened and it won’t be the last. As a fan it does shake you back to reality from the snuggly warmth of a four game winning streak. I’ve enjoyed Buffalo’s streak, but I was wary that it could come to a sudden end, and Sunday in Miami was that end.
