Buffalo News reports: 'In Buffalo, it's all about an overhaul, with massive front-office changes and Sean McDermott and his new coaching staff trying to fix all that was broken with the Bills. In Miami? They're talking about being dissatisfied about one-and-done playoff appearances. Specifically, that's coming from the one player with the potential to do something about it: Ndamukong Suh.'

Marker Buffalo Bills named team that got measurably worse by one ESPN Insider [1:54 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: '"Departures will leave the Buffalo Bills depending an awful lot on rookies this year, and rookies don't always fulfill their potential right away (if ever)," Schatz said. "Two of last year's top three receivers are gone. Two of last year's top three cornerbacks are gone. And while LeSean McCoy is still around to keep the running game dangerous, Mike Gillislee was outstanding last year, and losing him really hurts Buffalo's depth."'

Marker Bills add WR Streater, cut OT Kouandjio, other moves [1:53 AM]
Batavia Daily News reports: 'Injuries hampered Streater in 2014 (foot) and he never recovered, grabbing only 28 receptions for 283 yards and three touchdowns the past three years. After signing with Kansas City last offseason, he was traded to San Francisco for a swap of conditional seventh-round picks. He had 18 catches with the 49ers.'

Marker Bartram Trail graduate Nathan Peterman signs contract with Buffalo Bills [1:49 AM]
Saint Augustine Record reports: 'The team has not released a depth chart. Considering few NFL teams keep four quarterbacks on their roster these days – the 2016 New York Jets serving as a rare exception – Peterman has his work cut out for him.'

AP reports: 'Streater is entering his sixth season after spending four with Oakland and 2016 with San Francisco. The 29-year-old had 18 catches for 191 yards last season with two touchdowns.'

The Sports Xchange reports: 'The 23-year-old Kouandjio, a first-team All-SEC selection at Alabama in 2013, spent his first two seasons in the NFL mostly in a reserve role. He started five games last season because of injuries to left tackle Cordy Glenn.'

Marker Bills release OT Cyrus Kouandjio [1:46 AM]
ESPN reports: 'Kouandjio had been sidelined during organized team activities this month because of January hip surgery resulting from a fall at home. Kouandjio was also hospitalized in April after police found him not wearing pants in a field near a Buffalo-area highway.'

That incident occurred just a few months after Kouandjio required hip surgery after falling inside his home in January.'

Marker Bills outlook: In the hunt, barely, again [1:42 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'The 2017 Bills are predicted to win six games or so, according to betting lines. The Bills at times -- and the Sabres this year -- have expressed surprise at their results, but objectively their results have been anything but surprising. The Bills have been within a game of their predicted record for years running.'

Marker Buffalo Bills release former second-round pick Cyrus Kouandjio [1:41 AM]

Marker Bills Today: Why Jordan Poyer needed a change [1:38 AM] reports: '“It was a rough three years in Cleveland,” said Poyer in an appearance on the John Murphy Show. “We didn’t win a lot of football games, but met a lot of good friends who I’ll have for the rest of my life. It’s hard. You play this game to win. That’s why you love the game. It’s hard to win on Sundays and it’s tough going into the locker room on Monday, loss after loss after loss and wondering when the switch is going to turn, or if it’s going to turn. I learned a lot and to just keep working and keep pushing and keep getting better.”'

Marker Vic Carucci's Bills analysis: Whaley might have been reaching on self-congratulations over Darb [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'He conveniently forgot that Darby was drafted to fit Rex Ryan's scheme that asks corners to primarily play man-to-man coverage and that Darby is going to find himself in a different role in the zone-oriented defense of new coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier – a role that just might not suit him as well.'

Marker Bills host former Raiders WR Rod Streater for visit [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Streater has 127 career receptions for 1,755 yards and 10 touchdowns.'

Marker Jay Skurski's 3 Bills thoughts: Doug Whaley breaks his silence edition [1:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'If there was any doubt the "one voice" policy was simply in place to keep Whaley as far from any live microphone as possible, that should have been erased after listening to the former general manager's meandering, 17-minute interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday afternoon.'

Marker Buffalo Bills host WR Rod Streater on free agent visit [1:56 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Streater, 29, is coming off of a 2016 season in which he caught 18 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns with the San Francisco 49ers. Before joining the 49ers in 2016, Streater had spent the first four seasons of his career with the Raiders.'

Marker Reports: Bills host pair of veteran free agents [1:55 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'The 26 year old Hodges was productive last year in San Francisco, racking up 80 tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 interceptions for the 49ers after not having nearly that kind of production for the Vikings his first three years in the league. He’s just about the exact same frame as former Bills LB Zach Brown (6’-1”, 243) who signed with the Washington Redskins, and he’s considered a very good coverage linebacker, exactly what new head coach Sean McDermott likes at that position.'

Marker Bills Today: BR ranks Bills run game high [1:54 AM] reports: 'Williams will replace Gillislee as the second halfback, and the 2016 fifth-round pick from Arkansas has potential as a power back. But the real interest in the Bills backfield will be how they deploy both DiMarco and Tolbert, two veteran fullbacks with wildly different characteristics. With the Falcons, DiMarco was a great blocker, but he would also flex from the backfield to the formation as a receiver everywhere from the slot to out wide.'

Marker Vic Carucci's Bills analysis: Adjustment likely bigger with offensive scheme [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The essence of what Dennison learned from Gibbs is the wide-zone blocking that will have the linemen doing far more lateral movement than they've been used to doing. Expect a noticeable increase in stretch plays that will have McCoy and other ball-carriers following the outside flow of blockers with an eye toward finding cut-back lanes in the defense.'

Marker Report: Bills hosting former 49ers LB Gerald Hodges on free agent visit [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Hodges could represent a good find this late in free agency. The 26-year-old is coming off the best season of his four-year career, starting 12 games and making 83 tackles, three sacks and two interceptions. In 584 defensive snaps, he posted the eighth-highest overall grade of any inside linebacker, according to analytics web site Pro Football Focus.'
