2003 NFL Draft: Mock Draft Picks [9:41 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 26 & 27th. That doesn't mean it's too early to take a look at some projections for the Bills. Buffalobills.com has searched the internet and flipped through numerous draft publications to compile a list of mock draft picks for the Buffalo Bills.
Owners’ Meetings: Sudden Death Lives [9:00 PM]
Buccaneers.com reports: "It was back and forth," Buffalo Bills general manager Tom Donahoe said. "Early, you thought it was going to go. Then you didn't. And then you did."
In the end, Donahoe, who was in favor of changing overtime, wound up disappointed because the proposed adjustment received 17 votes, seven shy of the 24 needed for it to pass.
Free-agent winners, other owners meeting odds and ends [8:59 PM]
CBSSportline.com reports: Buffalo Bills: They have come out of free agency with perhaps the best player on the open market in LB Takeo Spikes, another starting LB in Jeff Posey and one of the NFL's best run-stuffers in Sam Adams. They dramatically upgraded the 29th-ranked defense in the NFL. They traded Peerless Price, which will certainly hurt. But they cannot pay two receivers Eric Moulds-type money and avoided a nasty situation, yet they picked up a No. 1 in the process

Atlanta Journal Constitution reports: '"I would say Buffalo looks like the big winner now," DePaul said.'

Free-agency report card: 5 teams that did the worst [7:12 AM]
The Sporting News reports: 'I've grouped the Bills in limbo -- with 22 other teams that are neither the best nor worst -- because although they boosted their defense with the acquisitions of Takeo Spikes, Jeff Posey, Sam Adams and Izell Reese, there are now new questions about their offense, as Josh Reed and Bobby Shaw must make up for what Peerless Price, Jay Riemersma and Larry Centers contributed to the passing game.'
Bills sign Adams [5:48 AM]
D and C reports: 'The Buffalo Bills have signed defensive tackle Sam Adams. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.'
JOE DeLAMIELLEURE Autograph session in Boston! [9:44 PM]

Mike Dozer: NFL off-season fills everyone with hope [9:44 PM]
Shout! reports: Well, here we are in the middle of the off-season, and already it rivals the excitement of last off-season, when Drew Bledsoe came aboard. Maybe the Takeo Spikes and Sam Adams acquisitions exceed the Bledsoe acquisition because they mean Buffalo is closer to repairing the defense and going deep into the playoffs.
Ismail, Gary visit with Bills [8:33 PM]
AP reports: '''I believe Eric is the No. 1 guy, period. Outside of that, I guess everything would be open to fair game,'' Ismail said. ''It's a good fit for myself and for the Bills. But this is just a visit. Hopefully, we'll progress.'''
Bills Sign Sam Adams [4:28 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: The Bills today announced that the team has officially signed DT Sam Adams.

NFL.com reports: "It was back and forth," Buffalo Bills GM Tom Donahoe said. "Early, you thought it was going to go. Then you didn't. And then you did."
QB Johnson plans to push Ramsey [4:27 PM]
The Washington Times reports: NFL talent evaluators long have felt Johnson has the tools to be a top passer. A 1995 fourth-round pick by Jacksonville, Johnson consistently has impressed with his arm strength and athleticism, plus his prototypical height (6-foot-4, 212 pounds). But he has struggled to find a comfortable situation, whether with Jacksonville, Buffalo or Tampa Bay.
WR Qadry Ismail Visits Buffalo [3:43 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"Being that I played down the road, my college ball in Syracuse and really haven't been back up this way, I am very impressed. I'm impressed with some of the things I see; the organization and the way they are moving definitely seems like they are heading in the right direction."'
RB Olandis Gary Makes A Stop In Buffalo [3:43 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"Things are going great so far. For a team that I didn't think that I would be visiting it's been going good. I just saw Travis Henry and we spoke for a while. I think this is a great opportunity for me."'
Emmitt's New Clothes [1:28 PM]
DallasCowboys.com reports: 'Smith didn't fully reveal if any other teams had been talking to him, but after his press conference he did say on local radio, with Dale Hellestrae, no less, one of the talk-show hosts there in Phoenix, that his people did talk to Kansas City and Buffalo.'
Player Visits: Olandis Gary, Qadry Ismal, and Sam Gash [9:39 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: Running back Olandis Gary (Denver Broncos), wide receiver Qadry Ismail (Indianapolis Colts), and fullback Sam Gash (Baltimore Ravens) are all in Buffalo today to tour the facility and meet with the coaches. Gary has rushed for 1,614 yards in four NFL seasons. Ismail had 44 catches for 462 yards last year after recording a career-high 74 grabs for Baltimore in 2001. Gash is one of the top blocking fullbacks in the league and spent two of his 11 seasons with the Bills (1998-99).
Bills' offseason moves have put them in thick of playoff race [9:48 PM]
Pro Football Weekly reports: Based on how active Buffalo has been this offseason, I don’t think there is any doubt that GM Tom Donahoe is positioning the Bills for a major playoff run this season. In fact, I feel so confident about this, I put $20 on the Bills to win it all (at 20-1 odds) at the Rio Suites casino/hotel in Las Vegas last weekend while I was there on vacation.
Player Profile: Jeff Posey [4:53 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: Quick, agile pass rusher who will suit up for his fourth team…signed by the Texans as an unrestricted free agent on 4/18/02…converted defensive end…has 84 career tackles and 40 special teams stops…played in seven games for Jacksonville and four games for Carolina last season…spent his first three campaigns in San Francisco…originally signed by the 49ers as an undrafted free agent on 5/2/97.
Football wasn't Hull's first choice [9:34 AM]
Jackson Clarion Ledger reports: 'Humility has long been one of Hull's strong suits. It was among the traits he learned toiling on his family's farm near Greenwood, where the wakeup calls came early on Saturday mornings.'
Alumni Spotlight: Kings On The Field [9:26 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: Long before brothers Tiki (Giants) and Ronde (Bucs) Barber made commercials celebrating the fact they are brothers both playing in the NFL, the Bills had an even more unique duo. The King brothers, Charley and Tony, both donned the red, white and blue of the Buffalo Bills and became the first pair of African American siblings to play on the same NFL team. Separated in age by only 16 months, the two played together during the 1967 season.
Owners send OT idea to a sudden death [8:55 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'After releasing fullback Larry Centers, the Bills are bringing fullback Sam Gash in for a visit this week. Veteran wide receiver Quadry Ismail is also scheduled to talk to Buffalo.'
Bills deserve some prime time exposure [5:17 AM]
D and C reports: 'If NFL, ABC, ESPN and Fox officials are on the ball, they recognize that the Bills have upgraded themselves more than any other NFL team since last season ended and should plan to give them at least three prime-time games.'

Teams find value with compensatory picks [5:56 PM]
ESPN reports: Buffalo GM Tom Donahoe, whose team was shut out of the compensatory process this year, certainly understands the significance of owning additional middle-round selections. The Bills acquired two current starters, OT Jonas Jennings (2001) and SS Coy Wire (2002), with third-round compensatory choices.
"It still comes down to making good choices," said Donahoe, "but it never hurts to have a few more chances."

Gregg's Deal [1:21 PM]
WGRZ-TV reports: 'Although Williams made some mistakes his rookie season by trusting coaching buddies with a lack of NFL experience, he does have some smarts.
