EJ Manuel's quarterback rating when throwing to Watkins was 39.6 just a week after it was 137.3 when throwing to Watkins against the Dolphins. Needless to say, Watkins will have better days.'

Olean Times Herald reports: 'The Chargers three sacks of Manuel were recorded by linebacker Dwight Freeney, the former Colt, and ends Corey Liuget and Kendall Reyes. It was the second of the year for both Freeney and Liuget, tops on the team, and the first for Reyes.'

Marker When will EJ Manuel give Buffalo Bills fans a reason to believe? [8:12 AM]
Syracuse Post-Standard reports: 'I see Manuel float and overthrow passes. I see an awkward delivery. I see spotty accuracy. I see a guy who always takes the safe route instead of taking a shot.'

Buffalo News reports: 'A Buffalo defense that had given up only one play of more than 20-plus yards in its first two games gave up six such plays Sunday.'

It’s something I always desired it in my heart, and God knew that. He got me here, and I wouldn’t be here without him.”'

Marker Manuel’s aim is true, but results are lacking [1:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Tens of thousands of people saw Sunday’s game, either at home or in the windy confines of The Ralph. I’d suspect no one had any problem distinguishing between the two quarterbacks.'

Marker Rivers takes advantage of weaknesses in secondary [1:56 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '“Honestly, I think it’s our fault, secondary-wise,” Bills safety Aaron Williams said. “I think we gave him too easy a look, and when you give a good quarterback like that easy looks, he’s going to find weaknesses in a defense.”'

Marker Matchup winners [1:55 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Manuel, meanwhile, resisted pulling the trigger on a number of occasions and was off target on several other key plays. He also did not react well when rushers flashed into the pocket.'

Marker Ten plays that shaped the game [1:54 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Bills had a semi-drive going on the possession after the Jackson TD. But on third and 5 from the Buffalo 43, the Chargers once again were unafraid to blitz. Marker Quarterly report [1:53 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Bills could have accepted an offside penalty on the Chargers on a punt to set up fourth and 1 from the San Diego 43-yard line. Marker Report card [1:48 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'The Bills had a chance to go 3-0 with a win over a good team playing in their stadium. But as is so often the case, in a big spot, they fell flat on their collective face. Been there, done that. Now, Doug Marrone’s task is to get his team to bounce back next week.'

Marker Loss was a team effort for the Bills [1:47 AM]

And defensive penalties helped San Diego keep a few drives alive.'
