Marker Sabres Announce Time Changes For Two Games [2:16 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Buffalo sports fans will be able to see Sidney Crosby and Company take on the Buffalo Sabres at HSBC Arena on Saturday, December 17th and then watch the Buffalo Bills take on the Denver Broncos at Ralph Wilson Stadium later that night.'

Marker Times change for a pair of Pittsburgh games [2:04 PM] reports: 'The game on Saturday, December 17th in Buffalo has been moved to 5:00 p.m. from the originally scheduled time of 7:30 p.m. [Avoids conflict with Bills-Broncos game at 8:30 p.m.]'

Marker Bills defense has Packers concerned [1:29 PM]
AP reports: '"We weren't a playoff team last year, nor the year before," Vincent said. "We've done a lot of good things defensively, don't get me wrong. But statistics are for losers. I want to be in the postseason."'

Marker A Closer Look: George Wilson [1:06 PM] reports: 'Do you have any pre-game rituals?
"I just pray. I pray everyday and I ask the lord to help me be the best I can be everyday. I ask to keep us safe."'

Marker Bills may find it hard to keep Clements [1:04 PM]
Olean Times Herald reports: 'Clements, because of his big-play history, will be offered what the market will bear and he’ll have his pick of teams. And that’s why his re-signing with Buffalo is becoming more and more unlikely. With a stable of talented young corners on his roster, it’s doubtful Donahoe will undermine his salary structure ... even to keep a player as young and talented as Clements.'

Marker Green Bay (1-0) at Buffalo (1-0) [10:56 AM]
The Sports Network reports: 'Buffalo received a positive first preseason outing from quarterback J.P. Losman (11-19 passing, 88 yards, 1 TD, 17 rushing yards), who will be bidding to get the Bills to the playoffs in his first season as a starter. The second- year pro threw a five-yard touchdown pass to receiver Lee Evans (2 receptions, 16 yards) in the victory, before yielding to backups Kelly Holcomb (3-5, 15 yards) and Shane Matthews (5-7, 19 yards) Running back Willis McGahee carried four times for 16 yards and caught a four-yard pass against the Colts, but may be held out against the Packers after suffering a minor knee injury in the game. Rookie wide receiver Roscoe Parrish, who broke his wrist last week in practice, will definitely be absent against Green Bay and is expected to miss roughly 6-8 weeks.'

Marker Prep work for Packers [10:54 AM]
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports: 'Two weeks ago when the teams took part in a scrimmage at Lambeau Field, the Bills surprised the Packers with the amount and variety of blitzes they ran and the Packers reacted poorly, surrendering eight sacks and generally struggling to run their offense. On Saturday, the teams meet again in Buffalo for an exhibition game and the Packers hope to give a better accounting of themselves. "We'll be better prepared for it this time," offensive coordinator Tom Rossley said after the morning practice. "To say we're game-planning, no we're not doing that, but we'll be better prepared for their blitzes."'

Marker Hard work is what fuels Kelsay [8:51 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"In this league, there's always someone trying to take your job," Kelsay said. "Ryan's still right there competing for it. I've got to come out here every day and show I'm getting better and continually show the coaches I'm deserving of the job and that I'm the starting guy."'

Marker Gause, Ritzmann vie for Bills roster spot [5:07 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'While it's not in the class of last summer's camp battle between Chris Kelsay and Ryan Denney for a starting a job, Ritzmann and Gause, along with free agent Uyi Osunde, are wagering a fierce if quiet fight for the fourth and final defensive end spot on the team.'

Marker Hall of Fame coach Levy gives pep talk at Bills practice [5:06 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"Their defense preceded what I thought in terms of their quickness and their mobility and their execution of some complex defensive schemes for a first game," Levy said. "(Coordinator) Jerry Gray has made me raise my eyebrows."'

Marker Losman must be ready to answer the call [5:05 AM]
Niagara Gazette reports: 'But Losman is the No. 1 quarterback, and he has to accept all the praise and criticism that comes with it. In a small city like Buffalo, Losman will have trouble escaping the limelight. Whether it’s going out to dinner, shopping at the Galleria Mall (I find it hard to believe he’ll be looking for bargains at the outlet mall), or enjoying the nightlife on the Elmwood Strip, Losman will be hard-pressed to be just another face in the crowd.'

Marker Green Bay plan to be ready for Bills this time [5:04 AM]
Wisconsin State Journal reports: '"I was hoping that we wouldn't play them again," Packers quarterback Brett Favre said, only half-kiddingly. "We got whipped in the scrimmage. ... Had it been live, I might have been in trouble."'

Marker Injured Everett Benefits from “Participation” [5:00 AM] reports: '"Whether you're taking reps or not, you're seeing what we call a mental rep," said tight ends coach Mike Miller. "That's very important to everybody learning. Even if you're not in the play you can still pay attention and get something out of it."'

Marker Much Ado About Nothing [5:00 AM] reports: 'It wasn't all about football however, as quarterback J.P. Losman received a barrage a questions regarding the injury policy later. Losman seemed unconcerned about the policy. "I'm fine with it," Losman said. "That's his decision. Us as players, we're no medical examiners ourselves. So we don't know the technicality or the extent of our injuries more than they do. So we might as well have the doctors talk about it as opposed to a bunch of players who truly don't know what is wrong. That's just the way we're doing things around here and that's just the way it's going to be."'

Marker Home Debut [10:40 PM] reports: 'A full house will be on hand to watch the Bills. And it should be a good experience for Buffalo's new starting quarterback. "If anything it's an adrenaline rush and I think it will be fun to watch him. That's going to happen. We're prepared for it and that's why he's getting as much reps as he's getting and that's why we went to Green Bay. There's a sellout crowd, so hopefully it will be a positive for him." Coach Mularkey said.'

Marker Bills' QB Losman pumped up for home preseason debut [4:19 PM]
AP reports: '``That's going to be awesome. I'll just kind of feed off the crowd,'' the Bills' quarterback said. ``I'm going to try to calm myself down. But we'll see if that's possible.'''

Marker Losman has strong supporting cast [3:35 PM]
ESPN reports: 'From Drew Bledsoe to Losman. Talk about opposite ends of the mobility spectrum. Losman is going to be a weapon for Mike Mularkey, especially on third downs. Defensive ends and outside linebackers, worrying about Willis McGahee, are going to forget to stay at home on the back side and honor the bootleg action, and Losman is going to make them pay.'

Marker Bills Place Emphasis On Starting Season Strong [2:41 PM]
ESPN reports: So the Bills are armed. But are they ready? They have the pieces in place, but do they have what it takes to at least earn a season split with the Patriots and Jets, to not just compete but beat teams like the Falcons, Chiefs, Panthers and Broncos? Even with a young quarterback, will they mature enough to win the games championship contenders do, like at the Jets in Week 17 with maybe the playoffs or perhaps the division at stake? Can they will themselves to victory and not wilt under pressure at key moments?

Marker Clements looks to lock down top dollar [8:52 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"Obviously, he's very confident in who he is, and we're very confident in who he is, and his stats and his playing ability speaks for itself," France said. "That's the mentality we're going to take, and that's the approach we're going to take."'

Marker Wrist watch continues in Bills' camp [8:52 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Do the Bills really think the Texans will gain a competitive advantage if they know Parrish's wrist is broken? And do they really think other teams will go after the wrist when Parrish returns? "Are you kidding me?" Donahoe said. "In this league? Are you kidding me, asking that question? It's a competitive league and people will do anything."'

Marker Injury provides a break for WRs [5:00 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Tony Brown and Jonathan Smith are two young wideouts who are well aware that now is the time to shine. "There's a sense of urgency," said Brown, a 6-foot-2, 199-pound rookie free-agent signee out of Tennessee. "The coaches are looking for somebody to step up and fill the void."'

Marker Keeping Clements carries high price tag for Bills [5:00 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'France visited camp on Wednesday, and general manager Tom Donahoe said the sides would start serious contract discussions soon. "We visited a little bit today, and it was cordial," Donahoe said. "Nate wants to be here, but until you start throwing numbers, you never know."'

Marker Reed has to live up to expectations in a hurry [5:00 AM]
Niagara Gazette reports: 'The only reason Reed is in a battle to be Buffalo’s No. 3 receiver is because of the wrist injury Parrish suffered last week in training camp. The fact that Reed is battling Drew Haddad for that spot screams out that Reed shouldn’t have been a second-round pick.'

Marker Clements Awaits New Contract [5:00 AM] reports: '"We're definitely open for anything," Clements said. "All I can say is that I'm open and that I want to stay in Buffalo and I love Buffalo. If I was running the front office, I would take care of all of my guys."'

Marker Clements' Agent Speaks With WGR [4:59 AM]
WGR-AM reports: '"Once the season starts, I think we probably won't (negotiate) because it's a distraction to him and a distraction to the team."'

Marker Bills pre-season game to be televised [9:37 PM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'Turkey Hill Dairy has purchased 5,000 remaining seats for the Bills game, ensuring a sellout and lifting the local television blackout. That means the game will be aired live on Channel 7 Saturday at 6 p.m. The Bills Kids Day preseason sellout last year drew 71,500 fans to Ralph Wilson Stadium and the atmosphere was electric. Turkey Hill Dairy donates a nickel for every carton of Buffalo Bills stampede sundae ice cream sold to Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. The company will host an ice cream party for patients at the hospital on Friday of this week.'

Marker McGahee Returns [9:27 PM] reports: 'The team conducted it's final two-a-day session of training camp. The Bills break camp Tuesday, August 23.'

Marker On the Road: Buffalo [9:24 PM]
Yahoo Sports reports: 'In my travels during the week, I witnessed four AFC contenders and an NFC squad flying under the radar getting ready for the 2005 campaign. Though I saw only one workout for each, you can get a feel for the pacing, energy and spot the areas of concern. And, of course, you get to see fans at their most passionate. Why else would you be sitting in the oppressive heat to watch an early morning preseason practice?'

Marker Clements wants to be highest-paid cornerback [9:23 PM]
AP reports: '``I'm the best and I don't settle for nothing less,'' said Clements, a four-year veteran who's entering the final year of his contract. ``It's just like if you're the best at your job, you want to be compensated for being the best at your position.'''

Marker McGahee Back In Action [4:35 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'After two days of watching from the sidelines, Willis McGahee got back out on the practice field this morning. McGahee practiced at full speed and says he's "100 percent".'
