Marker Bills sign defensive end Douzable, offensive tackle Martin [1:56 AM]
AP reports: 'Douzable has seven seasons of NFL experience, including the previous three with the New York Jets. He is reunited with Rex Ryan, who took over as the Bills coach last year after spending six seasons coaching the Jets.'

Marker Bills offseason work concludes with three day minicamp this week [1:55 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Unofficially, seventeen players did not participate in the last Wednesday’s OTA session, the only one of the week open to the media.'

Marker Clay hoping to build off last season [1:54 AM]
WGR-AM reports: '"Any time you're on the field together where you can build chemistry, it's always good," Clay said. "You kind of had to switch game plans and switch your offense up a little bit whenever you got a guy [out]. You know like Shady [McCoy] goes down or Sammy [Watkins] goes down or Tyrod [Taylor], you have to switch your offense up a little bit. I feel like our guys did a real good job. You look at the last two games, we had a lot of guys out and they still went out there and played well. [We] definitely feel like we aren't far off, and we're looking forward to this year."'

Marker Goodwin gearing up for Olympic trials [1:53 AM]
WGR-AM reports: '"I have to go through the trials like everyone else," Goodwin said to John Murphy on WGR on Monday night. "It's a two-day competition. We have prelims one day, and come back the next day for the finals. I'm very confident, and as long as I maintain health and stay focused on what I need to do, there's no doubt that I should make the team."'

Marker Bills Sign Offensive, Defensive Linemen [1:52 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'To make room on the roster, the Bills released defensive end Claudell Louis and tackle Keith Lumpkin.'

Marker Gilmore in Buffalo for minicamp, but new deal not expected 'any time soon' [1:51 AM]
WGR-AM reports: 'The 2012 first-round pick is headed into the last year of his rookie deal after the Bills exercised their fifth-year option, guaranteeing the 25-year old $11.082 million this season.'

Marker Bills add DE Douzable & OT Martin [1:50 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'Martin joins the Bills after being a member on the Texans and Patriots practice squads throughout the 2014 season.'

Marker Bills hosting DL Leger Douzable on FA visit [1:49 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'Having already played in a Rex Ryan defensive scheme for two seasons in New York, the Bills head coach surely would love the familiarity that Douzable would bring to the defensive line, even only for training camp.'

Marker Bills Top 20 Talents in 2016: No. 4 - OT Cordy Glenn [1:48 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'Continuity hasn't been the strong suit of the Bills offensive line over the years, but now Glenn will have the same left guard lining up next to him, and a really good one at that in Richie Incognito. The team will likely depend on the ground game as they did for the 2015 season, and using Glenn to help pave the way will be one of the strengths of their attack. He's healthy, fully paid, and it doesn't appear anything is standing in the way of him having another dominant season.'

Marker Bills Top 20 Talents in 2016: No. 5 - CB Ronald Darby [1:47 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'As was the case last season, Darby will once again be the staring cornerback on one side of the field, and Stephon Gilmore will man the opposite side. With the Bills committing even more so to Rex Ryan's normal defensive scheme for the 2016 season, the pressure on Darby will only increase as the Bills try to send unique pressures and blitzes at opposing quarterbacks. He'll be entrusted to play press-man coverage for the majority of the season, and to give the front seven enough time to make their mark, and in total, to help the defense get back to their lofty status from the 2014 season.'

Marker Bills Top 20 Talents in 2016: No. 6 - EDGE Jerry Hughes [1:46 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'Hughes' sack production in 2015 wasn't great, registering only five for the Bills last season, but he put much more pressure on the quarterback than that number would indicate. This year, Hughes is no longer shackled to one side of the field, as he has been for the majority of the last three seasons. Over that time, the Bills usually kept Williams on the left side (against the right tackle), with Hughes on the opposite side versus the left tackle. That is, until around the middle point of last season, when the Bills started using Hughes, not Mario, as their matchup problem versus below average offensive tackles.'

Marker 5 things to watch in Bills 2016 minicamp [1:45 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'With Cordy Glenn’s contract already done, and with Tyrod Taylor having already shown his commitment to being at all the practices during OTAs, the last of the big names with expiring contracts is cornerback Stephon Gilmore.'

Marker Bills sign DL Douzable, OT Martin [1:44 AM] reports: 'Douzable, 30, has spent the last three seasons with the New York Jets, but was not re-signed by the AFC East rival as a free agent this spring. Two of his three seasons with New York were spent under Bills current head coach Rex Ryan and current defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman.'

Marker Robey serving as mentor to Seymour [1:43 AM] reports: '“I remember being at USC it was the same exact thing. He brought me under his wing,” Seymour told “We’d sit together in the film room. I’d sit in there with my DBs coach and watch film too, but we’d spend time sitting together and Nickell would coach me up and walk me through stuff like my backpedal, my technique playing off and in press and all that. Once I found out I was going to be here I was thinking I’ve already got a guy here to lean on.”'

Marker Cardale Jones, Dezmin Lewis, Jerel Worthy worth tracking into minicamp [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'He's a project. The question is how long will this project take for QB's coach David Lee to mold. Jones' No. 1 challenge right now isn't only connecting his footwork with his drops and his delivery, but simply relaying plays to teammates.'

Marker Bills defensive line moves on in 2016... Mario-less [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '“It’s all about working together,” Bryant said. “We have different things where we’ll stunt. Different guys will come over the top and you have to know how to read off of each other. When we play together, everybody’s going to make their plays.”'

Marker A dark matter: Secrecy abounds as NFL teams tackle analytics challenge [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '“We look at it from a holistic perspective,” Brandon said. “We hired Michael to oversee all of our business analytics at well. He is a crucial part of the mix between marketing and content and the decisions we make in all platforms of our business.'

Marker Risk in losing Gilmore, caution with McCoy, Goodwin's challenge [1:57 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'They’ve managed to draft elite cornerbacks — Antoine Winfield and Nate Clements — to only see those elite cornerbacks leave in free agency. Could Stephon Gilmore be next after the 2016 season? Maybe.'

Marker TE Jim Dray adjusts to life in Buffalo [1:56 AM] reports: '“It’s easy to prove yourself. Just do your job, execute,” Dray said. “The coaches will trust you and put you in there, and you make the most of your opportunities.”'

Marker Bills' Goodwin says if the sports paid the same, he'd take track & field over football [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'When Goodwin joined the Bills as a third-round draft pick from Texas in 2013, he told reporters that he shouldn't be labeled with the stigma of a "track guy" trying to play football. He wanted to make it clear he was a football player first, which is understandable given that "track guys" are perceived as being soft and injury prone. For the record, Goodwin ended up on injured reserve during his rookie season, missed six games in 2014, and was on IR in 2015, appearing in only two games.'

Marker More playoffs-or-else talk, Dareus' mindset & running on full [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Although Whaley is careful not to publicly state that he's safe regardless of the Bills' record this season, Ryan pretty much said that was the case with himself when, during a recent interview with MMQB, he said: "The media looks at it (like), 'Well, we have to win this year.' Or what? Oh, I am going to be fired? I don't think so. I'm not going to worry about it, because we are going to win anyway. But it's like, that is an ultimatum. No."'

Marker Buffalo Bills WR Marquise Goodwin unsurprisingly says he prefers track to football [1:57 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'That said, Goodwin might be sacrificing his football career a bit to pursue the Olympics. He's one of the receivers competing for a roster spot behind Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, but if he qualifies for the Olympics and makes it to the finals, he won't be back at training camp until the middle of August, at which point he would have only three preseason games and a handful of camp practices to win the job.'

Marker Jim Kelly thinks Rex Ryan will be fired if Buffalo Bills miss playoffs in 2016 [1:56 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Look, Jim Kelly is great. He took the Bills to four straight Super Bowls, kicked cancer's ass and continues to give back to the Western New York community. But he doesn't decide whether Ryan gets fired. Neither does Ryan for that matter. The only people who can come to that decision are Terry and Kim Pegula, and they certainly aren't going to make that call in June.'

Marker Fred Jackson investing in Buffalo steakhouse with two former Bills teammates [1:55 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Jackson said he doesn't want the restaurant, which will be located at 200 Delaware Avenue and is scheduled to open in the fall, to have a normal steakhouse feel. He wants there to be more energy, and he thinks the city needs a place like it.'

Marker Reddick competing with Buffalo Bills [1:54 AM]
New Bern Sun Journal reports: '“It’s a business. Some people come and go. You have to stick with it and keep fighting,” Reddick said. “You have to do your part and not worry about anyone else.”'

Marker Bills great Kelly says Ryan must make playoffs to keep job [1:53 AM]
The Sports Xchange reports: '"On paper, we look great, and we should be a very good team. But you cannot go to the playoffs, you can't win championships, when you're spending most of your time in the training room (with injuries). You've got to stay healthy. Our key guys have got to stay healthy."'

Marker Rex Ryan must make playoffs or he'll be fired, Jim Kelly says [1:52 AM]
ESPN reports: '"I think Rex will probably be looking for another job," Kelly told "The Jim Rome Show" on Thursday. "I think everybody knows that, including Rex."'

Marker If pay were equal, Bills' Goodwin said he'd choose track over football [1:51 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: '"I would definitely do track and field, man," Goodwin revealed. "Football was my opportunity to advance my life… kind of get a head start on life and put my family in a position to where they wouldn’t want for as much. I felt like track and field wouldn’t grant me that opportunity, being that I had a greater chance at making the amount of money that I do playing football, as opposed to going to track and field, and I would make it a lot sooner. Not saying I wouldn’t make it in track and field, but, I would make it pretty much at a guaranteed rate in football."'

Marker Bills re-sign RB Daniel (Boom) Herron [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'They had picked up a running back off waivers, Dri Archer, but he so far has chosen not to report to the team.'

Marker After yet another death hits close to home, Bills DT Marcell Dareus finds ways to cope [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '“He was my guy,” Dareus said. “We went to high school together. He helped me with a lot of stress off the field. He was my security back home. A real, real close friend. He worked at Wells Fargo. Just a real close friend of mine. When I’m home, we’re together somewhere just relaxing.”'
