McGahee a Bill [5:34 AM]

McGahee's comeback unbelievable as talent [5:31 AM]
Miami Herald reports: 'Can you imagine a little thing like snow stopping someone who has beaten the odds McGahee has? I can't.'
Agent used some tricks to make McGahee a first-rounder [5:30 AM]
Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel reports: 'Did any of this sway Buffalo into grabbing McGahee with the 23rd pick, a position not even mentioned weeks ago? Buffalo never checked McGahee's knee beyond the two NFL-scheduled dates. Never had a personal workout. Never called his doctor, his physical therapist or Rosenhaus. Maybe it was playing a silent game of its own. Or maybe in a stage full of stooges, it just became the final one.'
Bills sold on McGahee [5:29 AM]
Palm Beach Post reports: 'Before long, McGahee is back to being the tough guy. He's wearing a Buffalo Bills cap, but it's twisted sideways. He has a smile for the ESPN cameras, but a warning, too. "You should ask the Dolphins if they're worried about that," McGahee says when asked about playing his hometown team twice a year. "They ain't going to be too happy. It's bad news, too, for everybody else that didn't pick me."'

He lays his body on the line and he fits into the style and kind of player that we want here with that relentless attidude."'
Crowell, McMullen picked in third round [5:27 AM]
Charlottesville Daily Progress reports: 'Crowell was picked by the Buffalo Bills with the 94th overall selection at about 8:45 p.m., with McMullen going to the Philadelphia Eagles moments later. 2003 Draft: Day One Recap [11:19 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: "What were doing here is really the easy part. In free agency we've said repeatedly that we did a good job giving money away- that's not hard. Doing the draft isn't hard, it's fun, now the difficult part is that we have to put all of this together and it has to fit. There has to be the right chemistry. That's the big challenge. Things look good on paper but that doesn't really mean that much."

DE Chris Kelsay Talks About Joining Bills [8:40 PM]

They are going to be in contention, and they have a lot of potential. I feel very honored to be a part of that and I'm looking forward for what's in store for our future. So I thought that there was some interest and I feel very grateful that they drafted me."'

Preparing for the Draft: Part 1 [7:23 PM]
Huskers.com reports: 'I've been told I could be picked anywhere from the middle of the first round to the end of the first round.'
Chris Kelsay Diary: Part II [7:23 PM]
Huskers.com reports: 'I have a pretty good idea what to expect at the Combine. I know it is not going to be a lot of fun. I'm planning on a tiresome, grueling three or four days. But I know how important it is. Right now I'm hearing I could go as high as the middle of the first round, but there is still a long time before the draft. Grant Wistrom went into the combine projected in the middle of the first round a few years ago, had a great combine and ended up being picked sixth.'
Chris Kelsay Diary: Part III [7:22 PM]
Huskers.com reports: 'I interviewed with about 20 or 25 teams during the Combine and I had interviewed with about 10 at the Senior Bowl, so I think I've talked to all 32 teams. The interviews were much more organized than what I'd heard about in the past. They ran from 6 to 11 in the evening. Every morning you got a card with the time of your interviews. It listed the team, the room number and the time of the interview. The interviews could not last longer than 15 minutes, so everything was kept on a tight schedule.'
Chris Kelsay Diary: Part IV [7:21 PM]
Huskers.com reports: 'I don’t have a real good feel yet for which team will end up taking me in the draft. The teams that have worked me out recently all seem very interested, but it is really hard to tell. One of the teams I felt most confident about (Kansas City), just signed a free agent defensive end, so you never can tell. My goal is just to get drafted as high as possible and play a role this season.'
Chris Kelsay Diary: Part V [7:20 PM]
Huskers.com reports: 'Saturday morning, I’m hoping to sleep in a little bit, get up and eat a big meal and then just head to the couch and watch the draft like anyone else. Hopefully, I’ll hear my name called somewhere in the first round. I think every team gets 20 minutes for their pick in the first round, so it will be a long process.'
Chris Kelsay Interview [7:03 PM]
About.com reports: 'Q: What kind of player/person will the NFL be getting in you? A: I would say they are getting a good person, smart, hard worker, and someone that will give his all to help his team win. Where ever I go I just to keep getting better as a player and strive to do the best job possible for that team.'
