But with that $10 million bonus, the Falcons are banking heavily that he's among the game's top 10 receivers, and he hasn't proven that he merits that kind of billing just yet.

Buffalo News reports: 'Atlanta paid dearly for Price, giving him a $10 million signing bonus on a deal that two league sources said averages $6 million a year over seven years. The yearly average would make Price tied for sixth highest in the league among receiver salaries. The bonus is believed to be the ninth biggest.'

Buffalo News reports: 'It includes a $9 million signing bonus, a $1 million base salary the first year, plus another $1.5 million option bonus after the first season, according to a league source. The deal would pay Spikes $14.1 million over the first two years and $17.7 million over the first three. Those aspects of the deal slightly surpass the big contract Atlanta gave middle linebacker Keith Brooking last week. Brooking will get $34 million over the first six years.'
