Marker What a difference a decade makes [1:09 PM] reports: '"That win rates right up there, especially because it was down here and the way they beat us in the Super Bowl," wide receiver Don Beebe said. Marker Bills Alumni Spotlight: Lou Saban [10:55 AM] reports: 'However, one week after celebrating the championship, the coach resigned. At the time, Bills owner Ralph Wilson Jr. reportedly called it a "courageous decision." Saban disagrees. "Thatís one thing I didnít think people have been able to understand. In a personís own life, there are certain adjustments you think you have to make. At that stage, because of my family, I thought maybe this might be a chance to make one of those adjustments. I tried to see if I could put a very difficult atmosphere, tied in with what I thought was a very congenial situation at home, and keep pressure off my family. That was impossible to do. Youngsters who happen to be children of head coaches in professional sports donít have it easy. I just couldnít fathom how difficult it was to make changes in that type of an atmosphere. But I gave it a try."'

Marker Campbell inks multi-year contract with Bills [8:29 PM]
The Sports Network reports: 'The 27-year-old was in the final year of a contract that paid him $650,000 this season. Campbell has started seven of eight games for the 4-4 Bills this season, ranking fourth on the team with 23 receptions for 197 yards.'

Marker Here Are The Bills [8:17 PM] reports: 'Offensively, the Bills began the season having little difficulty putting points on the board, averaging more than 34 points in their first two games. But since that time, Buffalo has averaged just 12.3 points per game. The Bills have tried to established a balanced attack with Henry and Bledsoe being the focal point of the offense and the receiving trio of Eric Moulds, Bobby Shaw and Josh Reed being Bledsoe's prime targets. If the Buffalo offensive line can protect Bledsoe, expect that trio to be a major factor on Sunday.'

Marker Insurance At Center [8:14 PM] reports: 'The Cowboys addressed a depth concern Tuesday, signing free-agent center Bill Conaty, who spent his first six NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills, the Cowboys' next opponent.'

Marker Bills TE Campbell signs multiyear extension [8:11 PM]

Buffalo News reports: 'Tom Donahoe, the Bills' president and general manager, was notorious at Pittsburgh for trading down so he wouldn't have to give huge bonuses to high draft picks. Marker McKenzie wants to be back in the game [5:25 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Forcing turnovers starts with pressuring the quarterback into mistakes. Not surprisingly, Buffaloís meager 13 sacks ranked 25th after eight games. In their four losses, the Bills managed just five sacks and three takeaways. They were shut out in both categories in their 38-5 loss at Kansas City last time out when the Chiefs scorched them for 275 yards passing.'

Marker Inside slant [5:02 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: 'However, Donahoe did not talk about what might happen after the season, and if Williams does not get the stagnant Bills turned around in the second half of the year, his three-year contract - which expires after 2003 - will almost certainly not be renewed.'

Marker Strategy and personnel [5:01 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: 'The Bills have been far too reliant on their passing game during the first half of the season, and opposing defenses are starting to figure this out and make life miserable for QB Drew Bledsoe.'
