"I should have a really good opportunity to go out there and do my thing," Preston said. "You don't see a lot of guys go to play guard, that inside swingman, so I figured that would be me."'

Marker NFL dream still alive for area ACC players [5:30 AM]

Rochester D&C reports: 'No longer should we be thinking of things like how to build the best concrete and steel wall around an immobile quarterback, who had the art of the sack/fumble/touchdown return down cold. What we should be thinking about is how best to take advantage of a highly mobile quarterback whose legs are his best protection against the pass rush, not lumbering sides of beef with feet.'

Marker Bills Draft Complete [7:09 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'In the sixth round the Bills went back to the offensive line and selected guard/center Justin Geisinger from Vanderbilt. At 6'3" and 325 lbs., he says he can play all three positions on the offensive line. He had a sprained MCL in his senior year but says he has fully recovered. The Bills are looking to move him to guard.'

Marker Henry Remains A Bill [7:08 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'Donahoe said he was not even offered a third round pick. Donahoe said, "If we could have, we would've been interested in that, but that was not in anybody's conversation." "I don't think it is what we've wanted, I think we've been pretty consistent from the start, we just want something that's fair and we really haven't been offered very much. That's frustrating and a little bit puzzling to us. It's amazing to me that you have backs like Edgerrin James, Shaun Alexander and Travis Henry and nobody is really trying to be very aggressive to get any of those players and I don't know why, I don't have the answer."'

Marker Bills add speed, size, but can't deal Henry [6:12 PM]
AP reports: 'The most significant addition came when the team took hefty Illinois center Raymond Preston with their fourth-round pick, 122nd overall. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, Preston allowed only one sack in three years as a college starter. He was the fourth center selected in this year's draft and has the opportunity to make an immediate impact on a line that lost three players most notably starting left tackle Jonas Jennings to free agency last month. ''He's not a developmental guy,'' Bills scout Doug Majeski said. ''This is a guy that we've liked for a long time.'''

Marker Stamer featured on Buffalo Bills Web site [6:07 PM]
Vermillion Plain Talk reports: 'Josh Stamer, a 2001 South Dakota graduate, is featured in a new forum created by the Buffalo Bills and available on its Web site.'

Marker Bills draft Vanderbilt guard Geisinger [5:57 PM]
Nashville Tennessean reports: 'Geisinger, a 6-foot-4, 322-pounder, was the 197th pick overall. The road-grader's strengths for the Commodores were his consistency and excellent trap-blocking skills.'

Marker Lawrence native Preston watching NFL Draft with great interest [5:53 PM]
Lawrence Eagle Tribune reports: 'Several scouting reports say Preston is a hard worker who is noted for his smarts. On the downside, scouts question his mobility. One report had him going in the seventh round.'

Marker Henry saga ends with Arrington pick [4:22 PM]
East Valley Tribune reports: '"We kept our communication with Buffalo open until the time of the pick," vice president of football operations Rod Graves said. "But we also felt it wasn’t going to work and we had an opportunity to get a player like J.J. Arrington and to be honest with you, we feel very, very good about that."'

Marker NFL is front and center for ex-Sundevil Preston [3:53 PM]
North County Times reports: 'Preston may turn out to be more than a center at the NFL level. He said Philadelphia told him they like him as a guard, and that Atlanta and Kansas City have expressed interest in him as a tackle. He also impressed NFL talent evaluators as a long snapper during the East-West Shrine Game. That was stunning because he didn't handle those duties at Illinois.'

Marker Buffalo adding Miami flavor [3:42 PM]
AP reports: '''He was telling me how it's a good football city, how the fans love Buffalo and how he adapted to the weather quick,'' Parrish said. ''I'm willing to adapt to the weather quick.'''

Marker Buffalo Drafts Eric King In Fifth Round [3:41 PM] reports: '"It's just a great feeling to have your named called on Draft Day," King said. "I'm just so blessed to be going to a beautiful city and place like Buffalo."'

Marker DeLamielleure, Biron shape up for Billittier run [9:49 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'DeLamielleure, 54, is no stranger to running, having done it in high school. "I ran track in high school - the 100 dash - and threw the shot," he said. "I played fullback in high school. I'm only jealous of long distance runners when they buy clothes. Running is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I've always admired runners and swimmers. Those sports require such discipline, and you have to do it yourself and not rely on a team."'

Marker Hurricane tracking leads Bills to picks [9:29 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'They selected smurf-like speed receiver Roscoe Parrish of Miami with their second-round pick and then took receiving tight end Kevin Everett, another Miami Hurricane, in the third round. Both players will have a chance to contribute immediately as rookie targets for new quarterback J.P. Losman.'

Marker McGahee helps Parrish catch wind of pick [9:28 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"In this world we live in you need playmakers, and that's what he is," said Bills Assistant General Manager Tom Modrak. "He's a strong kid for 170 pounds. He's small, but he plays strong and plays very tough. He's a competitive kid."'

Marker Bills not counting on sudden impact [9:27 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'I suspect that we'll see a great deal of running but also a lot of play-action passes from the Buffalo offense as Losman discovers his sea legs.'

Marker Bills pick graduate of Tight End U. [9:26 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'At 6-4 and 241 pounds, Everett certainly looks the part. He's a terrific athlete with good hands and runs very well for a big man.'
