Marker Bills QB EJ Manuel continues to seek consistency [6:49 PM]

Marker Imagine that: Russ Brandon, once an ES-M Spartan, is now running Buffalo's Bills AND Sabres [6:47 PM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'If these concurrent duties are like hiring one guy to run both France and Spain, so be it. Any fella who can deal with blockers and forecheckers, centers and goalies, backs and wings, could rule a couple of countries, couldn't he?'

Marker The Great Debate: Who should Bills roll with at QB? [6:46 PM]
Wellsville Daily Reporter reports: 'The Veteran and the The Unknown each have their own appeal in this competition, but unless one of them seizes command of the job on the field, it's time for the Bills to finally find out if The Prospect will ever become The Franchise. If not, the search begins anew. Again.'

Marker Jonathan Meeks a darkhorse at safety: 'I want to be the guy' [6:44 PM]
Buffalo News reports: '“Concepts. Route recognition,” Meeks said. “Instead of just being out there running routes, you can actually see the routes develop by formations, by releases, by how they align. You can learn a lot before the ball’s even snapped. And I really wasn’t thinking like that as a rookie. Now, I can read routes and jump routes with the mental part of it down.”'

Marker Day Four observations from Bills camp [1:25 PM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Kromer jumped right into drills with his position group as if he'd been here all along. He was animated and effusive, and often flashed a smile. Two things I wished he had done when he met with reporters before practice were, one, take questions and, two, show some remorse.'

Marker Chemistry lessons begin for Bills' Charles Clay [1:59 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '“I look at myself as I’m capable of doing anything,” Clay said. “I feel like I’m my own player. I feel like there’s things I can do they can’t do. And there’s things they can do where I’m not as polished.”'

Marker Watkins displays his explosiveness in night session [1:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '“The first two days, I was moving pretty quick, but it’d kind of scare me a little bit when I was running,” said Watkins, who had 65 receptions for 982 yards and six touchdowns through multiple injuries last season. “That just comes with fatigue. The more reps I get, the better I got. I understand I’m going to be sore. The muscles around it are going to hurt."'

Marker Rex Ryan clears up timetable on quarterback battle [1:53 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Taylor, who celebrated his 26th birthday Monday, looked like the best quarterback of the day. He made the play of the night when he avoided pressure and found Sammy Watkins deep downfield for a touchdown during team drills. Watkins deserves credit for scorching Gilmore on the play, but Taylor bought time and got the ball to him. Taylor also did a better job of taking what the defense was giving him instead of trying to do too much with his legs. He looks like he's getting into a bit of a groove.'

Marker Aaron Kromer doesn't apologize in short statement at Buffalo Bills training camp [1:52 AM]

Marker Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan gets lost in own corn maze [1:51 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: 'Ryan has already made an impression on his new home and lived up to his reputation as an entertaining personality. From jumping out of a plane to interacting with locals, Ryan has brought a different atmosphere to the Bills in his first few months on the job.'

Marker What makes Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills training camp different than Doug Marrone's? [1:50 AM]
Syracuse Post Standard reports: '"Last year, our coach wasn't as loose as Rex," Dixon said. "Not to say he was a bad coach, but he wasn't as loose. The environment wasn't as loose. It was more like grit and tightness. I felt tightness when I got here last year. This year, you know, it's a more loose atmosphere, there's a little bit more smiling going on. I think that's good for us."'

Marker Whaley: Bills have exchanged contract proposals with Dareus [1:49 AM]
AP reports: '"You can't pin it down," Whaley said, referring to negotiations with Dareus, the two-time Pro Bowl selection entering the final year of his contract. Marker 7 Bills training camp observations: Day 4 [1:45 AM]
WKBW-TV reports: 'yrod Taylor never really misses badly, nor does he have a noticeably poor performance. Taylor does, however, provide the flashiest of plays when he hits for a big one — and that happened on Monday night.'

Marker Top 3 things you need to know from Day 4 of Bills Camp [1:44 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'Through the first three days of training camp Cyrus Kouandjio got virtually every single snap with the first team offense at right tackle. On Monday night that changed as Seantrel Henderson was rotated in. Kouandjio still got the lion’s share of the time with the starters, but Henderson got a few reps almost every series of team work.'

How grateful I am for Terry Pegula, Kim Pegula, Russ Brandon and of course Rex (Ryan) for allowing me back to do my job. I’m sure everybody wants to hear about what happened over the last couple of weeks and I’m not at liberty to talk about it. All I can say right now is I’m excited about being back here working with the talent that we have here on the offensive line, and making them the best they can be in this training camp for the season. That’s my whole goal and my whole focus at this point and excited to be able to do that. Thank you.”'

Marker Marquise Goodwin out to prove he's a football player [12:42 PM]
Buffalo News reports: '“A lot of critics have said I’m not a polished route runner,” Goodwin said. “Coach wanted me to focus on that. That’s what I did on my time off and I do a lot better job of getting open. Just running routes and getting used to doing football stuff, as well as getting off the line, too. A lot of people say I can’t get off the line, too. But there’s not a lot of film where Marquise gets jammed up in games. It is what it is. I worked on being a better all-around receiver. As a whole.”'
